As Elemental, I was eagerly watching the PTR and the dumps from the 3.1 game data, hoping to compile a list of where all my new drops from.
Needless to say, the list took me two minutes to compile, and one trip into Ulduar 25 got me all one item I could use.
It's pretty depressing when you think about it. Outside of Tier gear, we have pretty much no choice but to use all of the Naxx25 loot we've been using forever all the way into Tier 9 raids. For me, that includes weapons too. Our 10-man runs have gotten Yogg down, but very few Hard modes and I doubt we can drop Vezax's in time to even attempt for Aesuga. We don't have enough people for 25 so we do co-guild runs, but these are less-than-ideal and would probably never make it to Yogg, let along kill him. So no Soulscribe. Not that I'd win it anyway, since every caster worth their salt is going to roll on it, including the ones who can just use swords.
What does that mean? It means either I start picking up Cloth or I just sit ~200-300 SP lower than every other spellcaster in my guild and hope they don't screw us over again in 3.2 (though I have every belief that they will, since this is hardly the first time Elemental has been screwed over). Our clothies aren't done gearing up and 90% of the cloth drops have Spirit (ugh) so this probably isn't going to happen before 3.2 is out.
In unrelated news, it's nice to not be hit-starved anymore. From a very early point in Ulduar raiding, I got to drop all of my Hit gems in favor of pure SP gemming. Now it's gotten to the point where I'm able to drop a Hit ring (Sig. of Malev) for a higher DPS ring and a Hit trinket (Dying Curse) for a pure DPS trinket, even while gearing toward the Horde no-SP/Boomkin hit cap of 368. It looks like Tier 9 will continue this trend, so I'm actually hoping for the first time to be able to just stack SP trinkets.

I feel your pain. At this point I'd roll on just about anything to replace my trusty ol' Wraith Strike, but my guild has shit-for-luck when it comes to caster weapons. Take Guiding Star for example. Out of the countless times we've downed 25-Razorscale, do you know how many times we've seen it drop? Once, and it went to one of our Resto druids. I would like Soulscribe but, you know... every class that benefits more from stats that are useless to us (spirit and mp5) will roll on it anyway.
I hate caster weapon drop rates, I hate caster trinket drop rates, and I hate the fact that the two stats that adorn the VAST majority of mail / rings / weapons (mp5 / spirit / both) are useless to us. Oh, and one more thing:
I HATE VANQUISHER TOKENS! Seriously...it's not even close to being funny how often these drop. 40% chance my ass.
