In two weeks something might surface about the Emerald dream and everyone will jump on that bandwagon.
I personally think the next expansion will be all about gnomes. I'm totally going to get down rated for making that comment.

The only problem with that theory is that I can't imagine a gnome boss. The raid instances would be 1:20 scale and you would have to play them in 1st person because the camera wouldn't pan more than 5 ft away without hitting a wall.

Only gnomes and druids would be able to fight... any other class would have to come with baby spice to get through the doorways (druids because cat is small)

In regards to Lorecrafted has a good bit of speculation on the possibility of WoW:
Cataclysm.
