Worgen Garwal hotfixed, now untamable
Our tip lines have been buzzing recently with news about a tameable Worgen. If you haven't been paying attention, in short, Garwal (a quest NPC that starts as a wolf, but turns into a Worgen) could be tamed as a Worgen if you get your timing right, and then you'd have a very unusual pet following you around.
Note that I say "could be tamed," not "can": apparently Blizzard has hotfixed the NPC so that he can no longer be tamed, stating that they never intended players to have a humanoid pet. Players who have already tamed Garwal will find that they have no talents or abilities for him, nor can they feed or buff him rendering him effectively useless except as a vanity pet. I would expect him to be removed even as a vanity pet soon.

well this certainly explains what happened to my wolf. I tamed garwal b4 this was found out in his normal wolf state just to have a cool quest wolf and i had no idea they did this so i was in naxx and noticed i couldnt control him at all really. so i had to call out my lvl 75 cat -_-.

I hope the next playable class is Slave Trader. It's like a hunter but they tame humanoid mobs. It's what's missing in the classes. Seriously, nothing to do with real life. This would be awesome. There could also be a nice little slave section on the AH so you could buy those hard to find humanoids from others. Get over yourselves. This would be fun.

Funny thing is, alot of players i have talked to, or have read about (via forums) argue the point of blizz nerfing him due to the fact he was a humanoid and not of the beast category. This of course started a HUGE bitch fest about other Non-combat pets as in the squires (humanoid pets) and the fact that they should be considered "Slavery" pets. Now in most people's minds, this is the reason they were hot-fixed.
The other side of the argument is of course, all the other "Glitched" pets, and many people are scorn to the fact that they were kept and the Worgen was destroyed.. blah blah blah.
Personally, i don't think either point's were the reason for his destruction. Sure, he was glitched.. sure, he was a humanoid.. but it comes down to "Fairness" in the eyes of Blizzard. All of the other pets were tamable by ANY hunter of Lvl, able to figure out how to tame them, BUT! the worgen on the other hand was not. Being only attainable if you had not completed the HF quest line made him unfair to other players (of Lvl) and i'm sure blizz really didn't want there Tech support forums filled with QQing.
I had him, he was nerfed. and now it seems no longer has the worgen skin anymore either. So i have come here to say one thing to all us hunters out there... --> Meh!
