Patch 3.2: Trial of the Crusader loot gallery
We've just completed a few runs of Patch 3.2's new 5-man dungeon, Trial of the Crusader, and we present you with our gallery of the loot we obtained. The items on Normal mode are item level 200 -- on par with Naxx 10 and Heroic dungeons. We've yet to complete a Heroic run due to bugs, but we'll update the gallery with whatever we get on subsequent runs.
The items look to be well-itemized given their level, and hopefully they'll fill some gear gaps that Naxx and Heroics have missed.
If you've completed the dungeon and have loot we haven't seen yet, send us a legible screenshot using our Contact form. Let us know on what difficulty setting you completed the instance as well.
Patch 3.2 will bring about a new 5, 10, and 25 man instance to WoW, and usher in a new 40-man battleground called the Isle of Conquest. WoW.com will have you covered every step of the way, from extensive PTR coverage through the official live release. Check out WoW.com's Guide to Patch 3.2 for all the latest!

Some screenshots on MMO-Champion posted by PTR testers confirm very, very well itemized iLvl 213 epics on heroic mode.
Shaping up to be a pretty explosive patch, for just a filler. Seriously, this THE definitive alt-patch.
:)
Can't wait for 3.2

Epics from a non-Heroic 5 man?
jam Jul 11th 2009 12:01AM
Not totally unheard of. Non-heroic Kael'thas had epics.
Kody Jul 11th 2009 12:04AM
As jam said, Magisters' Terrace (to an extent) dropped epics, even on normal mode. I think we're seeing the evolution of dungeon progression, though. It wouldn't surprise me if there's a new "tier" of dungeon released with every raid in the next expansion. That way Blizzard can always keep each level of content one tier behind the next (dungeons, 10-player raids, 25-player raids, etc.).

There are some 40+ items from the normal mode, with more likely undiscovered. It sounds like heroic is fairly challenging, so not much loot has been found from it yet. ilevel 200 epics come from normal, ilevel 213 epics come from heroic.
You're more than welcome to use any of the items you don't have from this list in your gallery, if you'd like: http://www.worldofraids.com/news/727-trial-of-the-champion-5-player-dungeon-loot.html

Wow, nice, almost all the rogue gear has armor pen on it, this is good, now we don't have to wait until we're in ulduar to get a bunch

NORMAL MODE ToTC drops a tanknig trinket that has +126 Stamina, and a chance to increase armor by xxxx for 10 seconds on hit.
What
the
eff
jam Jul 11th 2009 12:14AM
Seems fine to me, JCs have had their +sta trinkets for a long time and Heroic AN dropped a decent rare trinket with over 100 stamina.
Maus Jul 11th 2009 12:39AM
the An trinket in question had 111 stamina with crap damage absorbal. Sure, its an extremely OP rare trinket, but in fact looking at ALL the supposed iLvl200 epics that drop from the normal mode of this new dungeon... they really really push their item level.
jam Jul 11th 2009 12:56AM
Yeah. The stats are without a doubt well allocated. Waiting to see more of that level213 loot spoiled.
I really should level more alts to advantage of all this loot, I got one coming but maybe I should start another. :-p

*take advantage
Nathanyel Jul 11th 2009 5:31AM
*cough* The 5man's name is "Trial of the _Champion_", Crusader is the raid one ;)

Abyss crystals should see a huuuuge drop in price.

"Helm of the Bested Gallant... classes: paladin"
Its nice to see some itemisation on what is an obvious healer helm.
Alanid Jul 11th 2009 9:38AM
Looking pretty awesome so far. Can't wait to see more of the loot that drops.

"Uruka's Band of Zeal"
Oh god, it's Hemorrhaging Circle all over again!

Sigh, spell plate.
Did we really need *more* spell plate? One spec of one class can use it, and it is highly likely that they already have it by the carloads.
What we need is more tanking gear and dps plate drops, and some decent weapons. More spell plate in a new dungeon when Holy paladins are already swimming in it just makes me sad :(.
Sorry for the rant, I just wish they could somehow come up with a solution to the profusion of spell plate that one spec of one class uses.
Eisengel Jul 12th 2009 5:39AM
If Inner Fire gets buffed to plateish levels, I'll share that with them so they can use cloth.
I think it's kind of amusing that there is one healing spec for each armor class, but definitely more than one DPS and tank spec for a given armor class (although there are no tanks outside of Plate and Leather).
PeeWee Jul 13th 2009 6:56PM
I would so love to see a cloth tanking class, like a monk :)
rat_catcher101 Aug 6th 2009 10:47PM
Did the heroic on wednesday evening, 2 epic cloth items dropped (helm and chest) both item level 229...couldnt belive it.
