This may very well be the strangest article I have ever read from wow.com I attend trade shows several times a year much larger than Blizzcon and far far more International and never had an issue with "funk". Not enough for it be something I think about. Bad breath perhaps but that is Universal and not associated with an "accent"

@Fizzler - Have you ever been to an anime convention or a Trek convention? The "Fan Funk" is much more obvious at those informal settings, and BlizzCon strikes me as being much closer to those fandom based gatherings then, for example E3 or whatever is serving the same "professional" purpose.

@GuyverIV - I have been to one Trek convention but did not mill around much so you do bring up a good point. The trade shows I go to our much more professional. I dated a girl years ago that was a booth babe at Comic and Trek shows I should dig up her number and ask her what her impressions are.
