Authentication issues tonight [Updated]

According to Reythur, Blizzard technicians are investigating. From the looks of the forum posters, several internet providers across many different states are affected.
We'll let you know when we learn anything more.
Update #1: And just like that I'm in. And Blizzard states that the issues have been resolved.
Update #2: Many people are reporting that the connectivity issues have returned.

Converting your account to a Battle.net account fixed it right away for me, after confirmation email's and all. Just throwing that out there, seems to me this was an unofficial "fix" last time there were authentication issues.

Oh, I had an issue tonight, all right, but it's because it said my card's expired, so I gotta scrape some cash together tomorrow for a new one :(
Maybe I will just wait til 3.2, though? I'm not in a guild where things like progression or even 5-mans mean anything so it's not like I'll be behind. :(

Not only is the Auth a problem, but creating an account is also down. I went to create a new WoW account with RAF for a friend and boom "HTTP Status 500 - Error" It's been like that for atleast a 3 hours.

And just like that there is another issue. This time I'm stuck at Connected. Anyone else? I'm not running B.Net and I have no intention of merging unless I have to in order to continue playing WoW.

i love this, doing 25 eoe, first phase 2 glitches and the bubbles don't protect anyone. we attempt again and 70% of the raid gets DC'd in phase 3 i

i was playing for a while and then i got kicked out. i can't log back on. it kicked me and 2 of my friends out but 2 of my other friends are still on!
