WRUP: We're taking poetic license on this one

Would you raid listening to GWAR?
Would you raid in Ulduar?
Would you raid with an axe?
Perhaps you'd raid in good old Naxx?
Would you raid, Mike I am?
Would you raid Sartharion?
I would not raid, Mike I am!
I will not raid old Karazhan!
Would you, could you, with a hose?
Would you, could you, raid Malygos?!
Malygos, Mike I am?
I'd love to raid old Malygos.
Would you, could you, raid WotLK?
All 10 mans this weekend, it might just be!
Of course, one poem leads to another...
Elizabeth Wachowski continues the trend:
I don't want to set Azeroth on fire
I just want to see my Fallout DLC
In my heart I have but one desire
And that is to fight a deathclaw tonight
I've lost all ambition for achievements and fame
I just want to be the chosen one
And with my admission to Pittsburgh, PA
Soon I'll free the slaves and then be done
(Dee dee dee ...)
As to the rest of the team...
- Alex Ziebart (@aziebart): Yeah, I'll be playing Fallout 3, too. Not because I like it, but because I'm stubborn and force myself to beat games that I purchase. When I'm not forcing myself to play that, I'll either be in Ulduar or trying to hit 45 on Turpen so I can post my next update.
- Amanda Miller: Routine Ulduar end-of-the-week raiding. Cleaning. Pestering my cats, because I've missed them very much while I've been away!
- Daniel Whitcomb (@danielwhitcomb): Having gotten my Blood Elf Paladin to level 70, I think I'm finally read to buckle down Alliance-side and power through tournament dailies to get Crusader on my Death Knight so I can get the most out of the new Patch 3.2 content. That, or I'll just get bored and Marathon through the rest of season 2 of How I Met Your Mother instead.
- Eddie Carrington (@Brigwyn): After 3 weeks of barely playing I'm looking forward to a weekend of questing and grinding. I'm also planning to be on the PTR and checking out the new Hunter changes and sites to behold.
- Matt Low (@mattycus): I just finished the entire Death Knight starting zone. Probably the last one on the staff to do so. Then it's time to start leveling professions. Somehow, picking flowers just isn't very Death Knight-y.
- Robin Torres (@cosmiclaurel): I still don't have a level 80 character yet. /blush I mean to remedy that before BlizzCon, so this weekend will be a quest-o-rama.
- Zach Yonzon (@trymykungfu): Recovering from a nasty bug which transmogrified my nose into an ooze factory. If I make my saving throw against petrification, I should be trail biking on Sunday.
- Matthew Rossi: I'm playing "internet connection bingo" it's a fun game where your ability to stay connected to the internet seems randomly determined.
- Allison Robert: Regrettably, I'll be playing the same game Matt is.

Haha, keep those coming.

I'd totally raid listening to GWAR. I'm a total bohab.
Proud2bawesome Jul 11th 2009 2:18PM
where is the warlock column editor... nick I think? I barely see him post his thoughts or too many class articles......

I always enjoyed the Ink Spots.
Maybe, you'll think of me, when you are in LFG.
Maybe, the one who is waiting for you, outside Azjol-Nerub, will prove a douche.
Maybe, you'll sit and sigh, wishing that I were near.
Then, maybe, you'll ask me to log in again;
And maybe, I'll be AFK.

A GWAR reference. Woot. I was going to GWAR shows before some of my guildies were even born. 25+ years of GWAR.. tee hee.

GWARRRRRRRRR

Lmao @ the idea of a Herbalist DK. Not because it doesn't have it's benefits ingame--because when I picture a Death Knight picking flowers, it makes me laugh-out-loud.
Eamara Jul 11th 2009 4:26PM
It's even better when you use Lifeblood. Flowers growing around a DK ftw. :D
Ovplain Jul 11th 2009 2:58PM
Fallout 3 = worst. game. ever!
Bethesda is ruining the franchise!=(
Tyler Jul 11th 2009 3:20PM
By "ruin" you mean "made it accessible to millions of people." Just because it's not the same as the previous installments doesn't mean it's terrible.
Ovplain Jul 11th 2009 4:26PM
I didn't say it had to be a carbon copy of the first two.:) I personally don't care about the first person view, the non-turnbased combat,.. I couldn't give a shit about that and that stuff ain't what made the first two Fallout games amazing. Fallout 3 is the dumbest so-called RPG i've ever played. Everything that made the first two Fallout games great is absent from Fallout 3. It's a game by idiots for idiots. For the 'millions of people' you speak of. I'm sure millions of people think Transformers 2 is a great movie (judging by the boxoffice), but obviously that doesn't make it so.:P Fallout 3 is the gaming equivalent of the Transformers 2 movie.
traptinacivicsi Jul 11th 2009 7:03PM
Wait wait wait, did you even SEE Transformers 2?
That movie was F'ing EPIC, way more action than the first, which was already insanely awesome.
You lost all credibility with that statement, but yes Fallout 3 is bad, and you should feel bad.
offday Jul 11th 2009 8:01PM
I enjoyed both Transformers 2 and Fallout 3, and I'm by no means an idiot.
You realize that the majority of people probably see you as an idiot, considering you obviously think you're some sort of elitist that's better than everyone else. Personally, I'd rather have friends than pretend I'm better than everyone.
Tyler Jul 12th 2009 12:14PM
@Idiot Ovplain's second remark.
Explain exactly what you find wrong with it. You're just blaming people, and not actually giving evidence that it is the so-called worst game ever. Do you enjoy looking like a complete tool?
Tyler Jul 11th 2009 3:19PM
I'm playing FFXI. Oh snap!!
My WoW subscription is out and I don't want to renew it. The game is boring right now.. perhaps when Hunter gets a massive update I'll come back.
Eli Jul 14th 2009 9:03PM
An update, you say? How about a revamp of the traps system, letting you shoot black arrow and use two other traps besides? I think that's a lot in itself, especially for us raiding hunters who have to explain to our annoyed GMs that we're better off using that 6% damage increase from BA than laying a frost trap, which isn't as useful as what the 3 mages and two shammies in our raid can provide.
Sl0th Jul 11th 2009 4:36PM
And you may find yourself raiding in 10-man Naxx.
And you may find yourself fighting Yogg-saron with 24 friends.
And you may find yourself behind the reigns of a large protodrake.
And you may find yourself covered in epic gears and the best gems and enchants.
And you may ask yourself, well, how did I get here?
Letting the days go by, all the grinding gets me down.
Letting the days go by, farming bosses all around.
All across Azeroth, and in Outland, too.
Once in a lifetime, or at least once per raid lockout.

Funny: the reason I picked up WoW again was the lack of enjoyable RPG's on the Xbox 360. I got Fallout 3 (through Goozex, thankfully), played for a bit and was not entertained or interested at all.
Aubrecia Jul 11th 2009 6:23PM
Ah, internet connection bingo seems to be a common game this weekend. Matthew and Allison are welcome to join me at my table, I have snacks.
Xigageshi Jul 11th 2009 10:44PM
Elizabeth you are my hero.
I think i'll play some more fallout tonight :D
waaaaaay baaack hooome.....
