I started out Alliance since that's what our friends were playing on the server where we started. After about six months my husband got bored with his rogue and rolled a Tauren shaman, and I rolled an undead rogue alt to still play with him some, and our friends weren't really playing much at that point. Husband got into a guild, got me invited, guild subsequently merged with what is at this point one of the oldest and most stable guilds on the server. Two months later, the Bronzebeard > Eitrigg server transfers opened up, and one of the largest Horde guilds transferred en masse. The Alliance PVP queues went to hell (yes, that long ago), and I rolled a Tauren hunter to replace my Nelf as my main. Three months later I was raiding and was shortly made an officer, and I haven't even contemplated switching since.(Our friends subsequently all followed us to the Horde.)
