"Energy regeneration:Speaking of energy regeneration during Fan of Knives spamming, currently Focused Attacks is the only method of returning energy that works on FoK attacks. However, in 3.2, Blizzard is changing Combat Potency to include all off hand attacks, which should include FoK in the energy return bonus. This change alone will boost Combat specs' FoK damage by a very significant amount. Because Assassination can't pick up talents like Throwing Specialization and typically tend to revolve around Dagger attacks, Combat has been the go-to spec for Fan of Knives-spamming Rogues. Vile Poisons is about as deep as the typical Rogue will go into Assassination unless they're going all the way to Mutilate."FoK can be very powerful for energy regeneration with the T8 2pc set bonus. Very useful on fights like razorscale and thorim where you have to single target a big guy quick while theres a ton of other adds running around.

The problem with this is that FoK is already being badly abused in Arenas, where Rogues do exactly what the article described under the Blade Flurry heading and deal absolutely ridiculous quantities of damage AND apply an AoE MS AND apply an AoE slow. With the "nerf" to 2s, more and more attention will be focused on 3s and 5s, where these "FoK-spec" Rogues are the most potent.
