Around Azeroth: Casual content in a hardcore way
Even by WoW standards, Aavryn of <One Percent> on Kul Tiras might have too much time on her hands. Sure, anyone can grab items from all eight holidays. (For those of you playing along at home, she's got an Elune Stone from the Lunar Festival, a Blue Brewfest Stein from Brewfest, a Sleepy Willy pet from Children's Week, a Hallowed Helm from Hallow's End, a Romantic Picnic Basket from Love is In the Air, a Brazier of Dancing Flames from the Midsummer Fire Festival, an Egg Basket from Noblegarden, and the Red Winter Clothing from Winter Veil.)
But how many people would find a way to get all eight into one screenshot? Or spend two hours trying to find the perfect lighting, synchronizing the cooldowns, and then waiting for people to stop running into the shot? And how painful must it be to get all this done and still be one achievement short of your Violet Proto-Drake?
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@gmail.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, gold seller ads with dead gnomes, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran.

Showoff! :-)
Cute pic!

It took so long because I had the direbrew remote as well. I submitted this one, and a shot with the mole machine which is on a two hour CD.

nice she even have balebrew charm
Mordockk Jul 16th 2009 10:10AM
What is that scary looking thing in the distant background? is it a dwarf? looks huge! clever use of camera angles are making it look like giant dwarves are gallavanting through IF

Technically she has nine 'holiday' items popped, two from brewfest. The Black Brewmaiden is in the background summoned via http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37128

Other than the elune stone and apparently the brew maiden I don't see a lot of things have a cooldown. Sure the picture is cool but you make it sound a little more difficult than it really was to spam the print screen button.

Guildie of hers -
She was messing with the Direbrew's Remote as well, which has an hour CD, but guess she didn't want to submit that screenshot. =P

Oh noes! Her pic-a-nic basket is gonna catch on fire, Booboo!
Wistin Jul 16th 2009 10:40AM
That is actually a nifty picture. Yes, I said nifty.
There are also a number of us one achievement away. I'd think its actually rather a common situation right now.

Picnic basket. Easter basket. Whatev.
Deadly. Off. Topic. Jul 16th 2009 10:45AM
I think most people who have following the seasonal dailies could do that. ^_^
Deadly. Off. Topic. Jul 16th 2009 10:45AM
- scratch "dailies" out.. i don' t know why I added that word.

She may be only be only one holiday away, but it is a heart-breaking one...she needs the Brewfest achievement yet, and she hasn't done the Brew of the Month yet, so she's got a full year left before she gets the drake.
Foussa Jul 16th 2009 11:02AM
For the Brewfest achievement, you don't have to drink all 12 beers anymore. You just have to subscribe to the Beer of the Month Club, so she can do it this Fall.
I miss one achievement for the Protodrake (except Brewfest ofc) : the mask of All Hollow's Eve :( I'll have to wait until November to get it :(
Brady Jul 16th 2009 11:10AM
Oh, I never heard about that change. That's nice for her then.
Erogroth Jul 16th 2009 12:03PM
LOL. I just did the same thing on the 4th of July. I put on all my Holiday gear and I put down the picnic basket from TCG as well as Love is in the Air and a keg, put on all my different holiday gear and through a BBQ for the 4th of July in Org. I had a ton of people gather round and party. It was a good time.

I was actually planning on throwing together the same kind of screenshot. It's really not that big of a deal as long as you've been participating in all the holidays and you're a packrat.
Ringo Flinthammer Jul 16th 2009 2:57PM
She's more than one achievement away -- she's one meta-achievement away. (Lots of people are actually closer, if they saved up the booze and food from Brewfest last year.)
Neat picture, though.

My other screenshot is at http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c64/NecroRaven/Wow%20Screenshots/Holidaypic2.jpg
It has the direbrew remote in it which made the process take so long
