Anyone who claims WoW is a grind-fest has never played any other MMO. I mean, seriously, FFXI anyone? SWG? Now that's grinding. This is nothing. Leveling in WoW has been fast and easy since before they made improvements to leveling from 1-60, now it's just a joke. We get to level via quests - and sure, sometimes those quests are just "Kill X number of Y guys and come back to me", but you get additional XP on top of what you get for killing mobs. Flat grinding in FFXI...spending days upon days killing damnable rabbits just to gain a single level, and god help you if you die.And I'm not a hardcore player, either, I only throw in a few hours a week. Something I've noticed among my fellow WoW players is that they expect a disproportionate reward compared to the amount of time they invest in the game. If I only play billiards once a week with my buddies at the bar, I'm not going to be able to defeat the world champion billiards player who spends all day practicing and reviewing video of other people playing. I just don't invest the anywhere near the amount of time in it that they do.Similarly, if I don't play WoW very often, I shouldn't expect to have a level 80 as fast as someone who can spend all day, every day leveling their character. Once at 80, I wouldn't expect to have the same level of gear that someone who can invest enough time in WoW to raid on a regular, serious basis would have.
