Very good advice.

Got my mage to 55 in the last two weeks (from 1). Most fun I've had in the game.

Once you get evocation and can spec into 10% mana cost reduction in frost, I've found I can keep my mana up most of the time in between evocates, only eating when I also need to drink. Glyphed Mage armor helps a lot.

Be sure to do all the quests that ask you to telport around. I got half a level, in my 50s, for teleporting to each of the main cities and talking to someone, and then flying back. Also, grabbing quests available in your home cities is MUCH more worth it than on other toons, since distance is much less of a boundary.
