Probably the only real issue for the guild is the loot council. Even if the officers are doing their council with intelligence and the utmost fairness, to those who don't get anything, they will feel cheated. That just seems to be how it is. I never been in a guild with loot council as the main form of loot distribution. Mine uses a plain main spec roll with a loot council only as a backup. There's never been a need to use it, we're very cool with each other.Other than that, the article pretty much answered everything fairly well. Communication is the most important thing here.

Loot council only works with mature people who all trust the loot council to be fair. As soon as you either have immature people, or people who don't trust the loot council for any reason, the whole thing collapses.It's just not a good system for most guilds.
