And yet somehow, I still feel locked out of endgame.
BM hunter
Feral druid
Enhancement shaman
Go figure. The three class/spec no one really wants or needs anymore.

Feral druids are decent in Heroic Raids, and Ehn shamans as well. They buff melee so much that as long as you play competently (read: you don't have to top meters) you'll get a spot. Not to mention Resto shamans are considered "underpowered" so your heroism could be a boon for a guild trying to get off the ground.
Of those three specs, I would say only the BM hunter should struggle finding a raid spot (assuming all of them are geared raid ready)

If you're not working on hard-modes, then you really shouldn't have trouble finding groups. If your GM/RL is that worried about comps for normal mode stuff, especially in 10 man ulduar, then your GM/RL has problems.
(Just to note, comps do matter, but for normal mode, heroism is heroism, if you get my point)

I play a feral druid and get respectable numbers whenever I raid, so it's not hard to find a group for me. Even if my dps was decent I still have more of a chance that a good rogue, sometimes due to my MotW, Batle Rez, and Innervate (since i don't need it in feral form), and on the rare occasion i get assigned curse duty (but that is really really rare).
But anyways, it doesn't matter if your class isn't the most desired at the moment. Just keep plugging away at him and make friends, with good puggers, and you will be able to build a good list of people to pug with, for the future. Another tip is to talk to the raid leader and get to know them after the pug, because they will need to pug again in the future, and it is easier for them to pick someone they know instead of a stranger. etc.

Strange, our feral druid tops dps meters in cat, we have a bear tank too. Any shammy would be nice too. If you have gear, i dont know why you cant get a spot tbh

Who wouldn't want a feral druid as long as it's in capable hands?

Our Ulduar 10-person raid has two ferals who main/off-tank or tank/cat. We'd certainly take an enh shammy if we needed more melee and didn't have a resto already, and we don't care what kind of hunter we have as long as they can pull decent numbers. Amazingly enough, we've downed Yogg and have started dropping hardmodes while raiding only twice a week (in pretty much only 10-person gear). Some raids are way too picky about classes/specs for no good reason, when the important thing is really to have a good balance in your group.
That said, you can always dual-spec if you're feeling left out and your local raids need a different spec of your class...
