The TC thing reminded me of a question I have... Can someone explain to me which is my main spec and my offspec?
I play an enhancement shaman. I have dual spec, resto, because I am often called upon to heal.
I would say that my main spec is therefore enhancement, and my offspec is resto.
If I'm in a particular raid group AS RESTO, am I suddenly main spec resto and rolling that way?
Thanks,
Mike

Your main spec shouldnt change, but you should make it very clear BEFORE the run to everyone what your main spec is to avoid confusion.

Most PUGs that I've been in consider your "main spec" to be whatever spec you're playing in that particular raid, even if it's not what you might personally consider to be your primary spec.

Usually it's the spec you show up as that night. If you're brought in as dps then it's your dps spec. You can say "I want to roll on dps gear instead" even if you are a healer, if they say it's cool with them. Usually we let people do that if they are already geared as a healer since hey they don't need to be there healing.
