Kingston giving away ten BlizzCon tix
We've posted about a few BlizzCon ticket giveaways before, but Kingston, the computer memory maker, is holding the biggest so far: they're giving away a total of ten tickets to Blizzard's big event in Anaheim next month. This one's cake, too: just enter in your info on their page about you and the kind of computer memory you use and buy, and then they'll pick ten random winners to get hooked up with a ticket to BlizzCon. Unfortunately, you're on your own for transportation to and from the event (and, we presume, a hotel to stay in if you're transporting from out of town). But there's never been a better time to call up your cousin Ed who moved out to Irvine to be a game developer a few years ago and still has that old sleeper couch to stay on. Right?Good luck to everyone who enters -- hopefully if you weren't able to grab tickets in the chaos that ensued during the original sales, you've been able to either buy, trade, or win for one since then. And if you do make it out there, don't forget: Thursday night we'll be rocking out at the Anabella. Come by and say hi!

Speaking of that meetup, can I come even though I didn't get tickets, or if I don't win tickets? I'm in the L.A area so it's only a few minutes drive from me.

You could, but it's probably not a great idea. If it's anything like it was last year, once you've braved the traffic, you'll be able to get in far enough that you can see inside the convention hall but security will prevent you from entering without a valid badge.
If you're down for some people watching, though, you could hang out outside : )

You can definitely come to the meetup without a convention ticket, yes. We're in a hotel outside the convention hall, and our event is open to everyone. So yes, if you're in LA and not attending BlizzCon but still want to say hi, come on by!

Ok, I entered - wish me luck. Maybe I'll be able to yell at Ghostcrawler in person :D

Aw... I only use Kingston flash cards, too. They're inexpensive and reliable -- but alas, US Resident only. Good luck to all of you, though! Fingers crossed that at least one wow.com reader wins a ticket *^_^*

Haven't gotten to go to a convention before. Hope I win!

Bah, US residents only. I wonder if these companies realize that it's bad publicity when people from other countries hit your contest site and then discover that you won't let them enter.

its not them...its YOUR country that stops it

Having issues with the security question. Every time I try and submit the form it says that the answer is wrong but it's definitely right.
