Several readers have asked about the tourney structure after this next bracket. How will we handle the odd combatant after this bracket leaves us with 13 winners? Like a raid leader herding cats with a feather, we're leaving the options open to see how the fights develop. We're open to your ideas – is there a specific way you'd like to see things handled? Until then, let's leave the combatants in peace to lick their wounds. We'll see you next week for the first battle in Bracket Two!

Why not add the new bosses from the 3.2 5man dungeon? They are pretty heroic imo to immediately enter the 3nd round. Makes the total 16 and perfect.

Hogger would dominate all!!!

I don't think people have enough experience with the 3.2 bosses to make an informed decision about their relative power.

I would hope in 13 wks we would have a good feeling for the new 5 man bosses. If not Blizzard is more fail than I thought. I would imagine we would see the patch mid to late August. That would give us 5-6 wks to familiarize ourselves with the back story and their abilities.

How about the boss that wins with the largest margin gets a bye in the next round?
Bod Jul 23rd 2009 12:34PM
or add the 2 highest voted runners up in a final bout together to make 14 (though while you're about it - add the 4 highest runners up or you'll continue to have this problem - 16-8-4-2 would be ideal for you).

Make one match a TRIPLE THREAT!
Desvelra Jul 23rd 2009 11:32AM
I say the 3.2 bosses for round 3

Personally, I think we should have a vote-off after this round where people can vote for their favorite 3 bosses that lost to join into the next round (only one vote per person, highest three are back in). It would give us 16 entrants, which would make it even again.

BAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTLLLLLLLEEEEEEE ROOOOOOOOYYYYYAAAAAALLLLLLLEEEEEEEE
Angus Jul 23rd 2009 11:54AM
One thing's certain: King Ymiron (Utgarde Pinnacle) vs. King Dred (Drak'tharon Keep)
The king is dead. Hail to the King.
Tridus Jul 23rd 2009 4:28PM
Wow, Loken won so easily that he doesn't even need a "one boss leaves" writeup?
Blitzkid Jul 23rd 2009 11:58AM
Hogger wins everything
Siaperas Jul 23rd 2009 11:59AM
Kael'thas comes back from the dead for round 3! You thought it was finally over when you took his head in Magister's Terrace, but via the same powers of the Headless Horseman and the Black Knight combined, he interrupts the tournament to throw down and show what the Burning Crusade is all about.
Either that or you could bring in some of the new bosses for round 3 or maybe bring back a boss who barely lost.

Anub'arak vs Loken is going to be an epic battle.
Tribunal of Ages vs Eck is going to be hilarious.
In both cases I'm going to favour the underdog!
Lyraat Jul 23rd 2009 12:47PM
Top 3 vote-getters of the losers move on. 13 winners + 3 winning losers = 16 for round 3
Docp Jul 23rd 2009 1:03PM
I like this idea, could allow an underdog to pull it out of the bag, like in all the great films.

This seems like one of those conundrums that could've been solved if someone had sketched out an official bracket in the very beginning. Which would also be something that would be nice to see from a reader's standpoint as well.

Oh boy Anub vs Loken will be interesting. Both pretty popular. Anub is a popular lore figure, while Loken is a popular heroic boss with a lot of lore nowadays.
