You seem to forget Arugal's bearing on the origin of the Silverpine/Gilneas Worgen.

I seriously expected better from Wow.com. How could any lore nerd completely forget Arugal and his worgen experiments in lieu of some meshugannah fakakta bunk about the emerald dream.? Come on.

He didn't forget. He even mentioned the Gilneas stuff before he went on his idea. He has just about as any right to speculate as you do on what might be the story behind it.
Besides, there are sources for Worgen beyond Arugal. The Scythe of Elune, for example.
If it's true that both the Emerald Dream and the Maelstrom are in the next expansion, then the Worgen could be creatures of a world like the Emerald Dream...or even the Emerald Dream itself. [their "big bad" is the Emerald Flame, after all]
And if it's just the Maelstrom next expansion, then the Arugal Worgen could have reason to expose themselves because of what the naga are doing to their coastline in Gilneas. Either way, the Emerald Dream explanation would help with their ties with the Alliance, as the good king Varian doesn't seem to be one who would enjoy having such company unless a group in the Alliance already supports them.

Perhaps, but the Night Elf died somewhere in Duskwood and the scythe went missing. Rumor has it that the Dark Riders took it. Makes sense. But note that she had absolutely nothing to with Arugal and didnt even make anywhere near Gilneas/Silverpine.

Which means that either A: The Gilneas Worgen aren't the Worgen we're looking for as a playable race, or B: the Scythe of Elune is completely unrelated.
Which seems a bit too odd for me. The Scythe of Elune seems to be the perfect way to bring the Worgen into this world. The real ones, not the ones that were once humans.
All I do know is that the Worgen have only two solid possibilities for existence in Azeroth: The Worgen of Gilneas, and the Worgen that are called by the Scythe of Elune.
Which means that his explanation on the Emerald Dream is definitely a possibility. Is it the possibility that Blizzard would go with? Well, it's hard to say what they'll go with. However, there is potential. Heck, any reason to go back to Karazhan and the areas around it would be great for me.

Good point. I can definitely see the Gilnean Worgen going to look for the Scythe in hopes that it can reverse them or something. But I honestly think the Gilnean worgen have nothing to do with the Scythe of Elune. If you recall, the worgen of Silverpine were summoned by the magic of Archmage Arugal, this summoning had absolutely nothing to do with Elune. Yes, Elune provided Velinde Starsong with the Scythe, but that scythe never even made it anywhere near Arugal or Silverpine. While Velinde Starsong did have something to do with the Worgen, she had nothing to do with the infection of the Gilnean Worgen, Rather she probably is seen as the only way to reverse the curse.

As there is Absolutely no Lore whatsoever pointing to there being any worgen in Gilneas aside from a few kids saying "Wow, There's worgen near there so everyone must be worgen near there. The Greymane wall has been shut since before Arugal started experimenting with Worgen.
Even if we do run by this random mass speculation model; why are there no Worgen in Ambermill? It's is closer to Arugal and has no Giant Wall/magic Barrier. Also, wouldn't he more likely to take his vengeance against the Kirin tor who cast him out rather than some random nation hes probably never visited.

Arugal used the Book of Ur to create his worgen, had nothing to do with the Scythe.

Also, we know that the playable worgen will be from Gilneas. Blizz has stated dozens of times that they "have big plans for Gilneas".

I had never considered the possibility that Worgen were native to the Emerald Dream, but I kind of like it.

Dozens of times?
Hardly; Only once has Blizz talked about Gilneas in recent times; And all Metzen said was that they had some interesting plans for Gilneas at this point in time. Thats it.
How can that -MUST- mean that worgen will be a new playable race in Gilneas? Lorewise there is no evidence and interesting plans could mean any number of things.
