Come on - there's been so many hints dropped by Blizzard plus these mask textures plus the worgen pet taming issue that Worgen are very likely. And players have always wanted to play Goblins, from years back...Whether they'll be swappable races i.e. Goblins/Worgen can join the Horde or Alliance is unlikely - Blizzard seem to be fairly keen on keeping races (for PVP reasons i.e. you can tell that a PC playing race A heading towards you is trouble... ) distinct. So to that end - as other posters have said - Goblins seem to be a good fit for the Horde (they already provide Zeppelins) and are a good counterpart to Gnomes. And Worgen would fit the Alliance well i.e. noble savages, something which the Alliance hasn't had up till now.I agree with a few other posters on starting areas and rationale too:WorgenLikely to be Gilneas and I think that somehow they'll be the former humans of Gilneas that have become infected/cursed with Lycanthropy.Lore reasons would be that they've managed to fight off whatever infected them - probably the more savage Worgen already in-game and are ready to re-join the Alliance.GoblinsCould be anywhere - maybe in the South Seas, maybe they'll be wrecked off the coast somewhere.Lore reasons - perhaps one of the Goblin trade princes realizes that the threat to Azeroth is so great (with whatever happens in the starting area) that if they don't pick sides, they might not have any customers left...Starting LevelI can't see these races starting at level 1 though - too many people (like me) could not bear to play the game to 1-78 to get to new content. I'd say that they may start these characters at 68 - maybe even 78.Mind you, if they do the WoW storyline is going to get even more confused. It's already bad enough having DK's start at 58 in events that are obviously set just before the Scourge Invasion and then the events of WOLK, but at 58 we have to head to Outland which happens (in-game) at least a year before the events of WOLK...So here's hoping that Blizzard begin the characters at level 68 or 65 in their own starting areas (like the DK ones) making them immediately available to play in the next xpac.i.e. first we had 'Hero classes' - now we could have 'Hero races'
