Dwarf levels solely by exploring, gains World Explorer at level 17
Here's a cute story to brighten up your Sunday. Tenen, a Dwarf Warrior in Modan Co on Moon Guard, decided that he would start at level one and only explore. No quests, no killing mobs, no PvP. Just exploration.
Seventeen levels later, he's explored every single outdoor zone in the game, and completed the World Explorer achievement. So if you wanted to know how much XP you could get just from exploring, there's your answer. It took four days of playtime to accomplish.
Of course, he couldn't do it all on his own; aside from the ravenous mobs, some areas are simply inaccessible without a flying mount. He got some summoning help from a cooperative Warlock. The Charge skill was also apparently useful in getting to some hard-to-reach places.
Congrats to Tenen! It's always nice to see players do something a little different.
[Thanks, Frijona]

I once saw a 14 mage at the armory with it. Dunno if he cheated.

Can someone please explain to me how he was even able to get onto the Isle of Quel'danas? I personally had to wait till I hit 70, I think, till I could even fly there. I actually thought that place was only accessible if you hit 70 and that warlock summons could not even help you here, that's why I never attempted this on a lowbie. Guess it's kind of cool though, but you have to have a really really nice lock friend. Personally I think the locks name should have been in the article as well, they definitely deserve some recognition for all the help they definitely put forth.

As stated in the article, he was summoned to many otherwise inaccessible places by a warlock. I would assume that is how he got to the island.

Now there's an awesome story. Very nice.

Wow...gratz to all involved...that is an impressive goal to undertake. I remember escorting a level 8 Gnome through Tanaris to the Un'goro camp and THAT was NOT easy with the aggro range being seemingly endless, lol.
Yay to finding interesting ways to play the game.

Dear Tenen.
You're completely insane.
Good work you nutcase!

Congrats, this must've been so difficult. I don't have the patience for this even at level 80!

Back before I went on hiatus, I saw Tenen's folks in Stormwind City several times. They were good folks, and I'm glad that one of their members is getting some public recognition for this project of his.
Also, Moon Guard is awesome.

If only there were a mount that a higher level could drive, that went really fast and the lower level could ride around in while doing this...

Here's the problem: I did this for the Midsummer fest (all I needed was the Area 52 fires for the achievement), and I still had major aggro. When you aggro the beasts ahead of you as well, it doesn't matter HOW fast the mount is going. I still died... just less (simply because my escort killed off most everything in 1000 yards before the final run.)

with the new ability to turn exp off in 3.2, i can foresee someone getting this achievement as lvl 1.
which makes me also wonder, how many achievements can someone get at lvl 1 ?

Well done and truly inspirational!

Friends with Tundra mounts helped a ton I am sure.
