Sunday Morning Funnies: Facepalm

It's a thrifty list this week, but with three from NPC and a newbie to the list, you should still have a fair amount to read. Disgraph is set to start updating again, Cru is on a break, and Kuo is being delayed due to studies. Flintlocke vs. the Horde has officially ended, Shakes and Fidget was shut down awhile ago, and I'm missing my Scout Report pretty hard. Just throwing that out there.Now that that it's Sunday morning and you know where your comics are, carry on!
- The Secret Meeting. Dark Legacy Comics.
- Experience Points has posted quite a few updates on a new story arc. I recommend starting with this one, which was linked last week, and then shuffling forward on your own.
- GU Comics: Call it Research.
- The latest LFG is quite interesting. I don't know if I'm more perplexed by his decision not to put on pants, or if I'm mostly nervous about his eyes in the last panel.
- Coercer has pointed out a comic I haven't listed before called Beyond the Tree. Check it out, and next week I'll start posting from the latest rather than the first. Thanks for the tip!
- NoObz: Undercover.
- NPC: 5 Pounds of Turkey Livers and Bink Quits WoW? and finally, Picked On.
- Teh Gladiators: Face Off!
- There will be no Road to BlizzCon this year! Still, if you're nostalgic or you missed it, now is as good a time as any to catch up.
- WoW eh: Dual-Speculating. I love this one! Particularly diabolical. You should also note that World of Warcraft eh?'s first store has been opened, and there is artwork to be had!
- Check out the latest from Two Lumps: the Adventures of Ebenezer and Snooch.

Uh oh, wasn't a store what got Shakes and Fidget shut down?

No, a company that bought Shakes and Fidget claiming that they owned everything within that universe got them shut down. They had literally laid claim to the fact that the two characters went to Outlands, had a mechano-strider, visted Stormwind - they claimed to own all of that.. Which, of course, is a biiiig no-no.
From what I understand as well, it was...Petopia, or Warcraft Pets, or something - they had used in-game models on coasters or calendars or whatever. That, again, is using in-game art for their own profit, which is again, a big no-no.
Believe me, I debated for weeks whether to put this store up...it's my own art, but their concepts....bleh. If it makes you feel any better, yes, I've nervous...I researched, but couldn't find anyone/anything to answer my question.
Oh well. If you see 'WoW Eh?' getting shut down/a c&d, then you'll know what happened. :P

I've never heard of Beyond the Tree, either, but I have to say it's the first comic I've seen using in-game resources and doesn't look like ass.

Nhani cheats by being a very good 3D modeler, and redesigning the models of the major characters frequently, cleaning things up and giving them more realistic range of movement. :D But agreed, BtT looks wonderful.

I very much like BtT, although I don't understand or very much like the 'Tiny' girl. I read through the archives; was there something I missed as to why she's only a few inches tall? Or...is that just her character?
Other than that, it's a beautiful comic; a real treat to look at.

Yeah, I certainly noticed the models are cleaned up. I can't imagine how long it might take (I'm no artist), but it really stands out. And no, I don't know what's up with the tiny girl either. xD

I thought Flintlocke vs the Horde ended disappointingly, but I guess when the author has to close up shop, it happens. Good thing WoW Eh makes up for it. Like the art and the humor.
