I actually miss all the little elite areas there used to be back in the day. But I'm grateful for being able to level up alts as fast as possible. I can't wait to ad the xp chest to my shoulders and weapons.
I just wish I could pass my BOA loot to my horde alts, and back. They are on my account after all.

I'm pretty much in agreeance with this except the elite areas. Those were annoying, but with a good guild or pug, they weren't bad.
I'm seriously looking forward to the new patch just so after a few weeks of farming, I'll have the BoA chest, shoulders and weapon to pass on. Then, add in each character that's high enough and each can buy a different piece. I think they said it was possible to get 15 seals per day per character. That's one piece of armor after 4 days.
I do wish we could transfer cross faction on same server. Don't expect any cross server transfers any time soon. Really, this is the only reason I'd want a neutral faction. Horde->Neutral->Alliance.
Thinking about it, cross-faction mail shouldn't be that hard. Theoretically, we could use special mail boxes in the neutral towns. Or, just allow both sides have access to the character name list that the mail boxes use.

All my toons are out of range to make the heirlooms extremely useful except my 71 mage i guess. I kind of get sad when i think about how much more enjoyable my preleveling Nerf leveling would have been if i would have had these from 1-70 and not had to group for every good gear upgrade i need. However i wouldn't have traded the experience for anything it just seems to me that having bad gear makes you have to play smarter/better.

I second the strong desire for cross-faction transfer of BOA items. I can use real word money to transfer BOA items between entirely different servers through paid character server transfers, but I can't get them to my Horde alts.
I think a good option would be a goblin mail service. Make it a cross faction delivery service. It can cost a lot, gold even instead of copper. You can even make it so it only goes between toons on the same account.
Right now, my spouse and I send items cross faction through neutral AH trades, but that won't work for BOA stuff.
All my high level toons are Alliance side, but I have many lower level Horde toons that I would like to share the XP bost with.
Lets make BOA items truly bind-on-ACCOUNT rather bind on faction.
Of course, I'd accept the other suggested solution to make BOA items like Collector's Edition pets, where they show up in ALL your toons' mailboxes at creation. :) That would solve a lot of problems with minimal programing I imagine.
Here's hoping.
