I think there's a several different breaking points as far as fun factor while leveling is concerned.
-If something is too difficult, it's no fun at all.
-If it's moderately difficult but manageable, it's fun.
-If it's relatively easy and you can do it while half asleep, it's boring.
-If it's ridiculously easy (say... a Shaman Dual-Wielding Blue weapons with dual crusader before the strength change...), then it is in fact so easy that it becomes funny, and enjoyable.
I have very fond memories of leveling my Shaman, because I would literally walk up to a mob, press Stormstrike, and then loot the corpse. It was hilarious.
Now with that being said, I think all of the thigns they've done to "improve" leveling have been both a blessing and a curse. yes, leveling is much easier and much more forgiving than it used to be. However, they seem to have removed most of the enjoyment out of it. Maybe I'm in the minority since I'm one of the only ones I know who enjoys 1-60 more than 60-80.
