The Daily Quest: Booze and bacon

- Skeleton Jack covers a pair of dual wield builds for Death Knights in Patch 3.2, when dual wielding will make a comeback for the class.
- Nourish has yet another tasty treat for us: Broken Isles Iced Tea. I'm a little confused, though. I think they forgot the booze!
- Runeforge Gossip thinks that WoW's PvP could learn a few things from DotA.
- This link has absolutely nothing to do with WoW whatsoever, but it has inspired me to make a few strips of bacon with whatever I decide to have for dinner tonight.

Tea with lemon and sugar? This is a revolutionary recipe? I think the British might have a response to that.

Southerners in the US too. We love us some lemon in our iced sweet tea in the summer. It's hardly new.

Why would 'the British have a response to that'?
Not only do the majority of us not drink tea--it's a stereotype, like all americans being fat, burger-chomping republicans--those that do drink it tend to go with off-the-shelf stuff with milk and sugar.

just because something is stereotypical (or a cliché) doen't mean it isn't true.

i'm a Scotsman and i can't think of anyone i know (over the age of teenagers who generally prefer carbonated soft drinks) who doesn't drink Tea as their prefered non alcholic fluid intake throughout the course of a day.
but ye, you were right about one thing; it's with milk and sugar rather than ice and lemon.

I never claimed it to be revolutionary... =/ It's just a nice and easy way to make iced tea that doesn't come in powdered form. Also, we're going through a heatwave right now, and I've been guzzling that stuff...it's practically heaven. :D
Also, Alex - you're the second person to ask 'where's the booze'? XD Go ahead and throw some in if you're feeling adventurous. ;)

@Agerath: There are a lot more people who drink tea in Great Britain than in the U.S. Get over it. (I, for my part, am happy to admit that there are a lot more obese people in the U.S. than the U.K., or pretty much anywhere else.)
However, you're right about the lemon thing--my mistake. Like fourwinds113 said, it's more of a Southern U.S. thing.
@Cadychan: People are asking about the booze because a LONG ISLAND Iced Tea is just that--almost all booze, no actual tea involved. And my snarky "revolutionary" comment came from the fact that when people's WoW-inspired recipes are posted here, they're usually something at least mildly original... as opposed to being something very, very standard (like making tea, chilling it, and adding sugar and/or lemon).
Have you tried icing MINT tea? I find it especially refreshing!

Elry Jul 30th 2009 9:38AM
Well I'm sorry Naix, but you're wrong.
