The Queue: There is a Cow Level

There is no cow level.
Repeat that three times.
But if I was designing WoW I'd make sure there'd be some kind of cow level. After all who doesn't want to slaughter some bovines from hell?
Osul asked...
"What's a good reputation to grind for a newly 80 Ret Paladin?"
First get up to friendly with the Ebon Blade so you can get the Tabard of the Ebon Blade and start championing them in normal and heroic dungeons. Ebon Blade rep will give you the head enchant Arcanum of Torment. There are also a few dailies (and a lot of rep) out in the Shadow Vault, but you have to follow the Ice Crown quest chain until you get there. Only take a couple hours of playing though to open them up.
While you're championing the Ebon Blade, you can also be grinding Sons of Hodir rep for your shoulder enchant. If you're not an inscriptionist (or scribe if you prefer to want to complain on the internet about it) then you want to be sure to get your Hodir rep up as fast as possible – it'll be key in any gear check to get into raids.
Burninate asked...
"Is there a cow level?"
There is no cow level.
But wait! There's more.
In Diablo II there was a secret cow level that you could access once you completed the game. Back then level meant more of a Super Mario level than a "level 80" level. Today people think that a cow level is something like level 80 (or 70, or 60). But there is no cow level in WoW. The history of it is interesting though.
However... in DII the Cow King drops a chest piece called the Cow King's Hide, which also happens to appear in WoW.
Torstein_mellem asked...
"Any ETA on the faction change mechanic?"
No updates since the original announcement, however I wouldn't be surprised to hear one soon. I'm sure we'll hear more about it at BlizzCon, one way or another.
Erated asked...
"What would happen if I logged a character out in the middle of the Argent Coliseum while it's being constructed and then logged back in after it was finished when 3.2 went live?"
You'd probably just be inside the walls and could walk right out. But really I wouldn't do this. If you get caught intentionally bugging or subverting game mechanics you'll get slapped with a warning at least, or a ban at the most.
And if they don't do anything punishment-wise to you, and your character is stuck, well... GM queues are ridiculously long right now, so you'll probably be stuck for a while.
VSUReaper asked...
"What's going to happen to my glyph of Seal of Blood on my pally since they are getting rid of the ability? Will they just remove it from my glyph book, or will it turn into something else?"
Mine just disappeared and showed up as a blank space when I moved my toon to the PTR.
Dennis asked...
"Is there a way to speed up resting time?"
No, not beyond the normal resting bonus you get at an inn.

Why is it that I can use my Traveler's Tundra Mount or any mount in Zul Farak and not inside of Old Stratholme in the streets? It makes sense that I can use a mount outside as compared to inside and the majority of WoW instances are inside with the exception of Zul Farak, Old Stratholme, and maybe one or two Wrath instances. To my knowledge those Wrath instances that are outside you can ride your mount in, the only one that I know of that is outside and you cant mount in is the streets of Old Hillsbrad and the CoT Stratholme before going into Stratholme as an example.

I think the reasoning behind disallowing mounts in CoT Stratholme is the timed run aspect. There are two options: make the timer higher and force people to run on foot from encounter to encounter, or make the timer lower and allow people to mount. I think mounting would cause more problems than its worth in that scenario (stuck-in-combat bugs, constant mounting and dismounting, etc.)

Inscriptionator. ;)

What happens when you log out somewhere that doesn't exist? "Error loading map east_stratholme.mpq" or something to that effect. I logged out in KT's room before patch 3.0 hit. It required a GM ticket from another toon to get out.

Whats the ETA on Ghostcrawler giving everybody their ponies?
Random Jul 31st 2009 5:35AM
I believe the 3.2 version of the undying/immortal stuff is a crusader warhorse mount. That do for ya?

"Is there a way to speed up resting time?"
"No."
Yes there is!!! Log out in an inn or capital city! :D
(Yes, I know that's probably not what the asker meant, but rest bonus DOES add up even outside of an inn or capital city, just slower.)

Where is the best place for a new 80 bm hunter to start raiding?
elvendude Jul 30th 2009 8:07PM
Heroics, if you're ready for them. Do regular 80s until you have a good feel for your class at 80, then step into heroics. For raids, you should be, at minimum, hit capped and doing about 1500-2000dps. Then step into Naxx, OS, and VoA (just the old guy, not the new guy).
Do your raid a favor, and don't start doing raids until you have a couple of badge items under your belt and some epics from end of heroic bosses.

It's a sword: Runeblood of Demonstrable Power. http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44249 It's covered with agi, so it's not optimal for a retadin, but it's not terrible until they find something that's better statted for them.

I parked my character in the middle of a wall of Mudsprocket the Monday before it was added. I ended up standing in the middle of the inn's wall and could walk out but couldn't walk back in, of course.
Skarlette Jul 30th 2009 11:31PM
I parked my warlock in the SW throne room between Bolvar and Lady Prestor the night before the pre-Wrath megapatch hit, and when I logged back in she was stuck inside Varian's throne. I was able to walk/jump through the throne with no problem, though.
nbcaffeine Jul 31st 2009 11:57AM
I remember people logging out inside old Naxx night before WoTLK and them being stuck without GM intervention.
Dreyfusxano Jul 30th 2009 8:32PM
ok so then would that also be the case for old stratholme?
Jaxson Jul 30th 2009 8:34PM
Note: someone who pursues the Inscription profession is known as a Scribe, not an Inscriptionist.
vazhkatsi Jul 30th 2009 10:42PM
I know this, you know this, but 90% of trade chat will insist on calling them inscriptionists. its annoying, but its easier to just shrug and move on.
Dazaras Jul 30th 2009 9:02PM
@first question.
You mention the head enchant but not the Death Inured Sabatons. If you go to revered you might as well go to exalted for those. Great Ret boots for relatively little work.

I'm going to have to start downranking everyone who says "Mulgore is the cow level"
Luke Jul 30th 2009 9:32PM
Question!
From a lore standpoint, how much control does a person have over what class they become? Are there certain people who have a natural affinity for striking from the shadows, swinging a big heavy axe, or shooting fireballs? Or can they train in any discipline?
Titusx Jul 30th 2009 9:48PM
Oh but there IS a cow Level... its called Thunder Bluff.
