- DIRECTV is offering pay per view coverage for $39.95. There is also a special (that ends today) for if you are not a DIRECTV customer, but join up through Blizzard that offers the coverage for free.
- There will also be internet streaming footage. The price is also $39.95 and you don't have to be a DIRECTV customer to sign up.
- The tournaments will be streamed for the low, low price of free.

Offering streaming for a subscription is lame.
Darkthunder Jul 31st 2009 3:15PM
Can't argue with that. And 40 dollars to watch a streaming video is a bit steep, when the event is only a matter of a couple of days.
Nohbdy Jul 31st 2009 3:27PM
Is there any way to record the live stream? Not the DIRECTV version but the other one.
Kyol Jul 31st 2009 3:29PM
I never saw any reviews from people who did it. I _sort_ of wish I had bought the stream last year just for the ingame pet, but I have no idea what the coverage is like. Anyone want to chime in?
Engerz Jul 31st 2009 3:44PM
This is the first time it's being offered online. Last year, it was on Direct TV only. This year, it's both.
Fyrestrider Jul 31st 2009 3:33PM
The $40 is for the pet and other swag.
Elmo Jul 31st 2009 3:32PM
Or just read WoW.com and MMO-Champion and know everything thats worth knowing for free.
Rotclaw Jul 31st 2009 4:24PM
Worth it just for the pet as far as I'm concerned.
Naix Jul 31st 2009 4:09PM
Meh.
Can we get some more Blizzcon posts? I have only seen maybe 30 this week.
Robin Torres Jul 31st 2009 4:13PM
I'm sure we can! Was there any topic you were particularly.... OHHHHH you were being sarcastic.
never mind
Nightfright Jul 31st 2009 4:32PM
Why wasn't WoWradio's coverage mentioned? It will be free audio coverage of the panels and thats what I will be listening to stay up on blizzcon info.
Treos Jul 31st 2009 4:57PM
Same. I'll be listening live on wcradio.com and also refreshing the page here for the live blogging.
LXj Aug 1st 2009 2:55AM
Yeah, what was the point of writing this article at all if you don't mention WoW Radio
Kojin Aug 1st 2009 12:21PM
I must concur. At the very least, WCRadio is how I plan on receiving up-to-the minute information from Blizzcon.
On the other hand considering all the WoW podcasts I listen to (including WoW.com), I think I will hear all the big news anyway and some punditry to boot, all without paying a cent.
Treos Jul 31st 2009 4:31PM
Interesting. Also a note for people who don't want to spend money but still want to get the news from Blizzcon, WCRadio will be streaming live broadcasts of all the panels along with some of their usual shows. www.wcradio.com
I don't know why you guys wouldn't mention them =P
Kyol Jul 31st 2009 4:31PM
Well, either way I mean. Was it worth the $40, or was it 48 hours of bang zoom xtreme douchebaggery to pump up what is effectively some boring TV.
chris Jul 31st 2009 4:33PM
are they offering the swag if you do the internet streaming?
Ed Jul 31st 2009 4:44PM
Protip: Save $40 and just watch Blizzcon on Youtube.
Everything worth seeing will be recorded and uploaded within hours of it occurring.
bigsampson Jul 31st 2009 4:47PM
um i would rather go to justin.tv or ustream and watch some one else who payed for it....just another money grabbing move that makes me frown....anyways move along nothing to see here.
