WoW Moviewatch: Snacky's Journal, Episode 4
One of the mainstays at BlizzCon is the machinima contest – talented artists submit their movie ahead of the convention in hopes of winning fame and prizes. This year's BlizzCon is no different, and we're sure to see some great videos during the largest gathering of WoW players outside of Azeroth. Over the next few days let's take a look back at some of the winners and runner ups of last year's movie competition.
The Grand Prize winner for last year's Machinima contest, and also the winner in the Drama/Romance category was Snacky's Journal, Episode 4. I can definitely see why it won. It has a great story, voice acting, editing -- it's just an all around, well done piece of movie fun.
You see, Snacky is coerced (bribed) to go on a blind double date with his friend, only to find out that things are far more complicated... and profitable. I love the settings in Gadgetzan and the Darkmoon Faire, which are particularly appropriate considering the date is crossfaction. There is also an explanation in there as to why Murlocs have cash on them (though where the money is kept is still a mystery).
I hope you enjoy it as much as The Spawn and I did. She's insisting on a replay. AFK.

I just HAD to comment on this. This was the most adorable and sweetest thing I've ever seen, not to mention fantastic on the technical scale!

"Another round for the heavy tippers!" This one and Journal #3 (the fishing tournament) are my two faves =) I love her work. If you haven't seen it yet, check out Kyle & Rosemary http://www.youtube.com/user/wasteofaces

Can someone upload it somewhere so I'm not forced to use WMP11?

Very well done. The quality of the voice acting really sets it apart from all the other machinima we usually see. Great story and nice use of restrained effects.

I love all the snacky's journals. I wish there was more

That link is a hoax and has nothing to do with the actual maker of Snacky's Journal. I'd go so far as to say the link on the page is likely tied to a hacker or virus as there is nothing on the page but a blank window's media player embed with no video tied to it and the title of the page is "loading" to try to entice people to click the link for a "faster download".

Murlocs keep all their gold in their backpacks. Just like the PCs. Just because you can't see the backpacks doesn't mean it isn't there, after all.
Now, the real question is, who distributed backpacks to everything on Azeroth, and why do some creatures keep their organs in there?
