August's Brew of the Month: Draenic Pale Ale

It's a new month, which means it's time for a new brew. August's Brew of the Month is Draenic Pale Ale, the final brew in the series of 12 brews. We've seen every last one of them now, starting with Binary Brew, through Izzard's Ever Flavor and Blackrock Lager, and now we end with the Draenic Pale Ale.
When you drink this brew, you'll start seeing pink elephants. It doesn't happen every time, but pretty close to it. More rarely, you'll get to ride a pink elephant as you see in the video above. It lasts about thirty seconds, which is a bit longer than the Parading Elephants that just follow you around. I don't know about you guys, but if a giant neon pink elephant appeared under me after drinking a beer, I'm pretty sure I would swear off alcohol for life. Seriously. Talk about psychological trauma.

Does the elekk work like an ordinary mount in that you cannot mount up on it when indoors?

I drank a whole stack(24) indoors and got no mount, only the pets... so my guess is no, unless I was very unlucky.

First, no need to apologize for using a stock UI... It might be rare to see, but it looks (dare I say?) normal? We all have played on a stock UI before. Second, riding on the pink elephant looks awesome and I will definitely be stocking up on this brew.

Is it just coincidence that the only mounts you saw while on pinky were an elekk and a mammoth, or is that part of the effect too?

Pretty funny doing this 1/8 , early in the morning.
atleast 30 whispers within couple of mins in dalaran/if.
Pretty funny, but the buff seemed pretty rare, as in 1/4 of the drinks i got it. Usually i get 1/2 on beer buffs.

also, i drank it as a hunter, and my pet wolf turned into a pink elekk i assume this will work for vanity pets as well?

Can other people see the elephants? (You're supposed to be hallucinating because you're drunk, right?) I'm guessing not, so what do they see when you're riding one?

Other people do see the elephants. I don't know if non-combat pets will turn into pink elephants, but I was with a DK who was 'under the influence' and he had 4 of them instead of bloodworms.

I like a good India Pale Ale every now and then, but it's never made me see pink elekks. If I drink enough of them, though, they make my fiancee's sister look slightly less like one. :D

You will get Binary Brew next month - someone asked it. Since Brewfest straddles Sept and October, if you bought it in october, there's no way you could get Binary. So they will be sending it out. I confirmed this with a Blizz Blue sometime after 3.0.

Sent it to wowinsider via the contact on the page but guess it didn't make the cut. But you can use the ale while on a flightmaster and you'll fly around on a pink elekk then just swim the rest of the time on the flight master. It also makes you go really slow on the flight master. The link above is a video of it.
As a side if you use it while on a flying mount you won't fly with it. The pink elekk is a non-flying one so you drop to the ground.
