World of Warcraft Patch 3.2 going live

There are no patch notes available yet; however, they will no doubt be made available within the next few hours. But really, the patch notes are not going to deviate a terrible amount from the PTR patch notes, so this evening is a good time to familiarize yourself with everything.
The patch will also bring with it some rather significant extended maintenance as well.
WoW.com has compiled everything we've written into a very large and complete patch guide, WoW.com's Guide To Patch 3.2.
Enjoy the patch, folks!

Does anyone know if the Dalaran children's week will count for the meta achievement, and how much time it will last?
I'm going on holiday tomorrow and don't want to miss the achievement..!

Quote from Wryxian:
"Wolvar and Gorloc orphans have arrived in Dalaran and need your help! Players can find out more by visiting the Eventide District (completing the quests being offered for this event will not count toward any Children’s Week achievements). Players have a limited amount of time to care for these orphans before they take their leave. They will then return again for the regularly-scheduled Children’s Week next year. "
Hope that answers your question. =)

Awww... and I was really hoping for more school of hard knocks, too.
/end ironic comment.

Too many signs for this to be considered mere speculation.
1. Last two Q&As released the same day
2. Technical support forums updated with 3.2 information
3. French support forum mentioned needing patch 3.2 after "next Wednesday"
4. PTR build flagged as "retail"
Etc, etc.

i doubt this is true. have they even announced the end of arena season 6?
raingod Aug 4th 2009 1:35AM
Jeez, don't you people read other posts? Blizzard said the Arena season wasn't going to end before 3.2 came out. Pay attention.

it says normal times, normal mantenience on the log in screen.
I'll believe it if i see it. I think it's the 11th.
Amused Aug 4th 2009 2:19AM
I'm not 100% sure, because I'm usually at work when we can play again, but aren't the realms coming down earlier than normal?

Well I havn't seen a single statement about Season 6 ending, so I'm gonna call shennigans on this one. There's no way they would end the season without any prior notice. WoW.com needs to get better "independent" sources, yeesh.

I find the lack of names for your sources... Disturbing.

They don't always end seasons when a major patch goes live.
Fedya Aug 4th 2009 4:25AM
Nope, it's always at least a week after.
So, if the patch hits today, I'm pretty sure the arena season will end next Tuesday.
Nick Aug 4th 2009 1:31AM
I'd really like to see some sources, but overall I'm pretty excited.
