Patch 3.2 Known Issues

This laundry list of issues comes after yesterday's first round of in-game hot fixes. Based on previous patches, I wouldn't be surprised to see another round of hot fixes released tonight.
Some of the more major bugs in patch 3.2 that are on Dresorull's list include:
- People are getting stuck in the portals to the Argent Coliseum raids.
- The Flying Carpet requires 410 tailoring to craft when only 375 is attainable at level 60.
- A number of items are displaying different textures in 3.2.0 from how they looked in 3.1.3.
- Master's Inscription of the Crag has not had its MP5 value increased.
- Some Stormjewels are still unique-equip.

Has anyone else noticed that when you attempt to land your flyer on uneven ground it gets a mind of its own? I was mining nodes last night and anytime I attempted to land on hills or rocky ledges my flyer would take off without me pressing any buttons.
Magma Aug 6th 2009 6:32PM
My swift flight form kept doing this...I thought I was crazy..
Mike Aug 6th 2009 6:43PM
I lost a titanium node because if that.
Zal Aug 6th 2009 7:31PM
Aye! I tried to land my netherdrake and it went completely insane and flew off into a wall without me doing anything to try move it.
Amaxe Aug 6th 2009 7:35PM
I saw that too...thought my keyboard was acting up
cowy Aug 6th 2009 8:46PM
YES! Drives me nuts! I lost several nodes as well, when they should have been mine (ie saw it first syndrome). Man people can be so rude.
*puts on tinfoil hat* hmm... maybe its intentional?
Are node farmers getting too good?

I'm not going to even pretend I know the first thing about programming a game like this, so I'm not complaining when I write this, but:
I do wonder sometimes just how things break so randomly with a new patch :P
Eudeyrn Aug 7th 2009 2:19AM
Regression testing.
Whenever you touch existing code, even when it seems like can't possibly be affecting anything else, there's always the risk of breaking existing functionality. Regression testing is the process of not only testing the new changes, but testing everything else again. Because the coding / test / patch cycle is so short in this game, seemingly random bugs pop up with startling frequency. It's just not possible to fully regression test all the code. The best we can hope for is that Blizzard is proactive about fixing these bugs when they are discovered, which is usually the case. Of course, some bugs stick around for frustratingly long periods of time, seemingly without explanation. For example, see the feral range bug.

Yep, me too. My copter zips along the ground 20+ feet almost every time I land.
Glad to know it's not just me.

You missed the 2 kazillion extra mobs in the XT-002 encounter in Ulduar. We beat it on 10 man, but I swear, it was harder than hard mode...
Taladan Aug 6th 2009 6:58PM
It was fixed already (in the next day restart -- or so the core raiders say.) Notice that this is a copy of the official Blizzard list, so it may not be there 'cause it was hotfixed already.
flawless Aug 6th 2009 7:31PM
We ended up just doing it on hard mode (25) simply because there were about ten times the normal number of adds, and what with multiple waves spawning if you DON'T engage hard mode, we got overwhelmed after he chained back into heart-mode.
We did, however, get the achievement for killing scrapbots with bombbots :)
DoctorOnline Aug 7th 2009 11:32AM
My guild was doing it in hard mode; we'd kill the heart and then get 12321809 adds spawning still. D: We thought we'd avoid the add problem, but it just made things worse.
Also, we had a stupid time trying to do FL with three towers; every time we would engage him he'd get the life buff again, even though we destroyed it. Not having all our core members made that a little, well... challenging.
Gossamer Aug 6th 2009 6:29PM
Nothing about all the issues in Ulduar? Or has that been fixed already?
Adam Holisky Aug 6th 2009 6:31PM

It should have been hotfixed in last night, or with the server maintenance this morning. I don't have a first hand account of it being fixed yet, however.
zainwolf Aug 6th 2009 6:35PM
My poor alt can't use the loaned gryphon when in the correct zones...
RogueJedi86 Aug 6th 2009 6:39PM
But on the bright side, neither can the gold farming bots. The bots save all their gold to give to their gold site employers, they've been using Loaned Gryphon/Windrider Reins rather than spend gold on CW Flying. Without the Reins working, they're helpless in zones like Icecrown and Storm Peaks. :)
Jessca Aug 7th 2009 8:26AM
loaned windrider? how do you loan your alt a mount? why haven't I heard of this!
Chris Anthony Aug 7th 2009 9:55AM
You don't loan your reins to an alt. There's a goblin by the flight master at K3 in the Storm Peaks who will give you Loaned Gryphon Reins (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44221) or Loaned Wind Rider Reins (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44229) if you're 77 but don't have Cold-Weather Flying yet.
xnn Aug 7th 2009 12:24PM
This. I haven't heard jack diddly squat about this...
