Warcraft Mounts helps you keep track of your corral
As a Pet collector, I'm very much appreciative of WarcraftPets.com's Collector's checklist. As a Mount collector, I've always wanted a similar list to keep track of my climb to the Dragonhawk. Today, that want is fulfilled. Mania's Warcraft Mounts now has a collection feature, just in time for all the new mounts and mount rule changes in Patch 3.2.Once you sign up for an account, you can list up to 3 characters per a screen name and start keeping track of which mounts you have and which mounts you want to have. You can also ignore the mounts you don't want or can't get. Once you have it all sorted out, you can share your collection with others if you wish (For example, here's Mania's collection).
The site has always been a pretty handy tool for mount collectors or people who just want a refresher about what forms of locomotion are out there, and the collection tool only makes it better. Kudos to Mania, who's once again come through with a nice little tool for the WoW community.

Seems pretty useless, I mean, pressing shift+P in the game will also show you what mounts you have.

Except that doesn't allow you to see what mounts you DON'T have.

Just promoting:
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/collect_me.aspx
Does everything you need it to do, in-game.

^^ Thanks for bringing this to my attention. This is a great addon, although it duplicates some of the functionality of Livestock (but is missing too much functionality to be a replacement). Fortunately, the random pet button and summon-on-move functionality can be disabled, and it can be used as purely a database tool, like Atlas.

But where is the addon that can track this in-game for me? I've been following http://www.wowace.com/addons/collectinator/ by Ackis of Ackis Recipe List fame, but it seems to be stuck in development hell.

There's an addon called Collect Me that keeps track of pets and mounts in game. You're able to ignore pets and mounts that are either unobtainable or that you don't care about.

www.wowcollect.com is better imo :< Keeps track of Mounts, Pets and Tabards at the same time.

Wowcollect.com is my choice as well.

This would/will be awesome once they let you enter a character name that has special characters in it. My character's name is Källisto, but it doesnt allow it because of the ä. Too bad.
Anaughtybear Aug 9th 2009 7:34PM
People that use special characters in their names are fail and don't deserve any special features or addons. Be original and come up with something that hasn't been taken already, so the rest of us don't have to put up with crap like Xxarthaslolxx and such.
Amaxe Aug 9th 2009 7:58PM
Did you try cut and paste?
Arkeband Aug 9th 2009 9:00PM
Justin: Your character's name might as well be KTABTABTABTABTABENTER because that's how people type your name.
Mania Aug 9th 2009 11:58PM
Justin: After I read your comment I spent about an hour beating my head into PHP's UTF-8 wall. Then I found the easy way to do what I wanted. :>
Anyway, you should be able to use letter-like special characters (like â and such, but not ◙). Let me know if you have any trouble with it!

I Would like to suggest The Collector- It is a nice addon that shows you which pets, mounts and titles you have yet to obtain. In addition it shows you which special pets you have collected that not everyone can get eg. The RAF Zevhra or the Mountain Dew Battle bot.

Well this would have been useful earlier today. Decided to get my 50 mount acheivement and i kinda just ran around not knowing if i'd have enough.
Anyone that has amabassador, you should try to get 50 mounts. Its super eazy now, and pretty cheap! Normal mounts are only 1g, Epic 10g, Normal Flying 50g, Epic Flying 100g.
You can get about 40 mounts for around 500g. Then its just figuring out our last few! (I have 3 Quiraji, 5 Nether Rays, and my 2 Tailoring Mounts, and the Bronze Drake on top of the faction mounts).

I just want to make sure to point out that, while the achievement dragonhawk mounts are mentioned in the article, the dragonhawk in the picture is the Sunreavers one.
The funny thing is that to me, the Sunreaver Dragonhawk looks much, much cooler than either the horde or alliance version of the mount that you get from the 100 mounts achievement. In addition to that, it is much easier to obtain... or absolutely impossible to obtain, depending on your faction.

The Collector addon = imba. Helped me get 89 pets and 106 mounts atm. But it needs an update. Maybe it has, havent checked curse yet.

Cheers for Mania! This will be very handy, especially for when I want to take a break at work to plan my rogue's next mount purchase.

Thank you! Thank you!
This is a great tool for the drive to 100. I am at 84 now, and I actually did not know about the new mount in Brill. Ran to Brill, bought it, to get to 84.
I now have a wish list set up with 26 mounts, so I know clearly the path to 100.
