Bell Pepper? That's the best you can do on this Worgen day?
How about Brotherhood of the Wolf!
How do you like them bell peppers?

"Iron Chef" America FTL.
Sleutel Aug 11th 2009 12:25AM
I was coming in to make this exact comment. My friends and I watched the original Iron Chef obsessively in college; the one time I tried watching the American version, I was bored to tears.
Citizens demand Chairman Kaga!
Frank Aug 11th 2009 1:02AM
agreed. the original iron chef was awesome. i stopped watching after they got rid of bill shatner on the american version, and even he couldn't hold a candle to chairman kaga!

Well there are three different versions of Iron Chef the original Japanese one, "Iron Chef USA" with Shatner, and "Iron Chef America" on the Food Network.
Personally, I liked the original best, thought "Iron Chef USA" was total crap, but found "Iron Chef America" pretty good, it is a lot more true to the original keeping some of it's camp attitude.

Everytime I see Mark Dacascos I just wanna sing "BANANA WAY BANANA WAY BANANA!!!."
If you get that reference then you're fucking awesome.
Taffu Aug 11th 2009 6:44AM
That's not what they're singing, but "Only the Strong" is what you're referring to.

Paranaue, paranaue, parana
Vou me embora enquanto e cedo
que a noite tenho medo!
Parana Paranaue, paranaue, parana
Mulher pra ser bonita, parana
Nao precisa se pintar, parana.
Paranaue, paranaue, parana
A pintura e do artista, parana,
A beleza e Deus que da, parana.
Dwarffy Aug 12th 2009 4:51AM
Yea guys I realize those aren't the actual lyrics and I know the song isn't about bananas either. You nerds need to stop playing so much WoW in mommy's basement and instead develop a sense of humor.
And yes stuart_watson_99, Dacascos was BA as Mani in BotW

Some people need to send me some of their spare RAM, because they're obviously looking at their computer and thinking "I have too much RAM - chef hat addon time!"

'Esports'
UGH
As though we needed another terrible piece of lexicon for an even worse social phenomenon. Apparently, playing the games for enjoyment were not enough, it has to be licensed and market branded competition now too.
Also, anything that requires one to to sit in a chair to perform is the antithesis of a sport. Video games, poker, chess, fantasy football, etc. Mental exercise, hobby, whatever you call it, is it NOT sports.
Thrift Aug 11th 2009 5:43AM
UGH
Get over yourself. People are allowed to enjoy the games in whatever ways they wish, even if *gasp* those ways are not always the same as other people. And if one of those ways lends itself to the standardisation and formalisation that official organisation brings in order to be deemed credible and worthwhile, so what? Are they hurting you?
And just so you know, there's this thing that English does in response to cultural and society changes: it evolves. Sport originally referred to athletic activities involving physical exertion, fair enough, but it also means competition and skill. Esport - you know, the "e" meaning electronic? - is not an unreasonable evolution.
Roflpanda Aug 11th 2009 6:38AM
"Sport is an activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively."
I WON THAT ARGUMENT. USE MORE BIG WORDS AND PRETEND TO BE MORE EDUCATED PLEASE.

Allez Cuisine!

i'm working on an all-white chef outfit of sorts — i would love this addon to (hwatcha!) switch out your entire outfit and change your title, not just the hat & title. i hope that gets added in the future. until then, i'm perfectly happy to swap out hat & title.
ready, set, COOK!
: D
Wikwocket Aug 11th 2009 10:58AM
Thanks Frank for the suggestion. I wrote IronChef primarily for the bonus from the Chef's Hat, plus a little flair. If I can find a way to let you add items to your cooking outfit, I'll do it. ;)
Frank Aug 11th 2009 11:40AM
i understand. thanks for considering it! i love the idea of your addon, and if it could make me look the total part while taking advantage of the hat bonus, i think it would be awesome. i am on schedule to get a hat this week, but i'm also working on the title, and don't quite feel right wearing the hat without that just yet, haha.

Everytime I see Mark Dacascos I think of Brotherhood of the Wolf, if you don't know the reference look it up NOW lol as it's a truly fantastic film! (imo)
