World of WarCrafts: Aigie's character sketches

Who doesn't love original artwork that expresses the essence of your character? We were captivated by the character sketch Elnore of Argent Dawn-US sent us to go with her recent profile in 15 Minutes of Fame. As it turns out, the guildmate behind the artwork has just begun to accumulate a small portfolio of simple sketches.
"I've been sketching since I can remember, really, but not seriously until I was a teenager," says Aigie. "I enjoy challenging myself with different perspectives and the process at which I got from point A to point B. This is why I use Artpad for most of my sketching. Sure, it's not the top of the line program and it's free -- but it has a replay button, and you can see the logical process in which my work evolves. (And did I mention it was free? Hehe.)"

Watch Aigie's drawings develop before your eyes (like mini-movies; you can control the speed or skip to the end) on Artpad:We hope to see more from Aigie as she develops her portfolio. Dwarf power, indeed!
Coming soon
The editors of the upcoming geek crafts book we discussed last month were so thrilled with our submissions (and your recommendations) that not only did they choose a contributor to represent World of WarCrafts in the book, but they'd like to highlight several other top-notch nominees as well. We'll update you on who'll be appearing in the forthcoming publication as soon as we've ironed out the details on how many crafters we'll be able to include. Way to go, WarCrafts artisans!

Breakfast Topic: I rolled a Belf, and I think I liked it
"Belfs make me want to puke. With Orc, Troll and Tauren to choose from why would anyone ever roll a belf? I just don't understand why they are so popular? These guys would be the laughingstocks of my neighborhood. They should be at the mall shopping for curtains and man-bags.
I go out of my way to /lol and /chicken to Belf pallys and Rogues when I'm on my Prot Warrior. Most of them are stupid enough to attack a prot warrior."
And now today's gem.
We get it. You don't like Blood Elves.
Shut up about it already.

Wow. First 15 minutes of fame for a healer who... Heals. Now a feature on a person who sketches wow characters.
Just amazing work. Are you sure you're not in their guild or something?

Perhaps you are not familiar with the origin of the "15 minutes of fame" phrase. Andy Warhol said that eventually, with the proliferation of media, everyone in the world would be famous for 15 minutes. Not just movie stars, rock and rollers, and athletes...everyone.
The way most people have adopted that phrase, it means that everyone gets a little time in the spotlight. Almost everyone is interesting if you get to know them. Everyone has personal triumphs and challenges and part of what makes us a community is sharing those with each other.
If you think it's a waste of time or you don't like it, don't click the link. If that's the case, you certainly shouldn't waste even more of your time commenting on it.
Here's a tip for all the trolls out there:
Nobody thinks you're cool for showing up just to piss on something. You might make people a little angry, but mostly you just make them feel sorry for you.

Nice work a cool style and it is cool that its not your run of the mill race/class combinations. As to the people who troll this article, honestly if you cant base your comments on the what the article is about why post at all?

I couldn't get into Artpad. >_>;
Her stuff is really cool, though. I love free-form sketching. I hope she keeps on drawing!

The irony here is that you're lecturing me on time wasted when you typed 200 or so words about things I already know in reply to a comment I made when I wanted to express my feelings on a topic on the internet.
If you think my comment is a waste of time, certainly replying would be as big a waste of time. You could have just marked me down like all the other lurkers have, but instead you wanted to whip out your muscle and measure how big you are.
You've come up wanting. Terribly sorry. If I want to tell a person I think their article is self-indulgent wank I will. The only people deserving pity here are the writer of the article and you, for wasting time exactly as you defined it.
