Arena Season 6 to end soon

Bornakk has just announced that the end of Season 6 will come as early as Tuesday August 25th. You'll want to be sure that if you're eligible for arena rewards that you don't transfer your character or generally screw with your arena team. Just relax and let the rewards happen.
After Season 6 ends, there will be one week of downtime where no rated matches can happen.
Season 7 will begin after this week of downtime, at which time all team and personal ratings will be wiped, along with your arena points. According to the announcement matchmaking ratings will remain (as well as honor points). None of this should come as too much of a surprise, as we've known about it all for a while.
This roughly places the start date for Season 7 at Tuesday September 1st. However these things can change, so just pay attention to the news and watch out for the exact date.

Tues 9/1 is the same day Anub'arak is going to be unlocked (I think?), so that's not too much of a surprise.

Can someone help an Honor Point n00b? I don't arena, I just pick up honor in WG. Will this chaneg affect me at all? Will it allow me to buy any honor gear I couldn't buy before, such as the next season up than is currently available?

If history holds (sometimes doesn't as they love to change things), instead of being able to buy hateful gladiator gear you will be able to buy deadly gladiator gear. Not sure if or when weapons will be able to be gotten with just honor (annoying rule, i hate areans)
I wish they would let us buy previous gladiator gear (70 even), it just looks so much better and would be nice while leveling (more so with BG leveling). I can't imagine it would really unbalance anything.

might be a noob question, but hopefully I can get a helpful answer.
This is my first full arena season and my 3s team will finish somewhere over 1600. If they keep the match-making rating system for next season, wouldn't my team get more points at the beginning of season 7 by disbanding and starting a new team with no initial match-making rating?
I feel like I'm missing something in my logic that might explain why that isn't necessarily a good idea, but maybe someone can post with a specific answer.

The question is: Do I wait and spend my honor points on the low end arena gear now, - OR - do I (should I) wait for the low end gear from next season?

You and each member of your team have personal matchmaking values that factor in to deciding who you fight against. These values do not go away when season 7 starts and do not reset if you drop your team.

Will the Deadly Gladiator's gear be purchasable with BG honor when season 7 starts?
I've got one toon at the honor cap and another just short of it.
Like others, I want to know if I should wait.

MMO-Champ indicates that no, Deadly Glad gear will not be there for honor.
Furious Gladiator gear will be avaible for Emblems of Triumph, though.
It kind of makes sense.
There has to be a certain threshold where you pass introductory pvp gear and have to earn the rest.
Deadly Gladiator rags, however, are already avaible for Emlems of Conquest and that certainly won't change in the next season. If you're impatient to get your kosher pvp gear you can just farm some heroics.

Where exactly do they say that on MMO Champion? That would be different from every previous season.
You can buy Deadly gear for honor atm, just you need an arena rating to wear the set pieces.
If this season follows previous ones, and I think it will, then the rating requirement will be removed from the Deadly set pieces and the Furious accessories (belt, wrist, etc).
The introductory gear level has to rise every season as well, otherwise people starting off have no chance at all.
