The DirecTV listing has since been changed to remove any reference to Ozzy, however it appears they jumped the gun on the announcement initially.
The press announcement of the closing concert, which was just released this morning, doesn't give many details of anything special that will happen. Other than "Ozzy will unleash a thunderous spectacle of rock to put the Lich King in his place and cement his own title as the one true Prince of Darkness." Morhaime goes on to say that "Many of us at Blizzard are lifelong fans of Ozzy's music, and we're thrilled that he'll be performing for all of our BlizzCon attendees..."
So there you have it. Rumor confirmed! I wonder what else might be announced... WoW.com will let you know!

WoW Insider and other sites like MMO-Champion will be covering BlizzCon, so you can just stay on this very website to keep on top of BlizzCon info!
G4 will only have cliffnotes versions days later, I wouldn't rely on them. Blizzard only has a TV deal with DirectTV, which charges you to watch. Blame Blizzard wanting more money than they already get from WoW.

Ozzy, in "Diary of a Madman" regalia, will be rendered for Icecrown Citadel boss No. 13.

Yeah tell me about it, this is the first one my wife and I will miss. But we will have it all on a 55" Plasma with 5.1 surround. So not a total loss

Every concert he has had in the past fifteen years has been sold out, he has packed some of the largest arenas worldwide. Can you give me an example of a current rock start that has the same star power?
Can you show me on where Hollywood is begging them to hawk everything from Video games to Cell phones?

I've heard several people mention their grand/parents play, one guy said his almost 80yo dad had a level 80 and they were doing endgame.
Me, I'm almost old enough to be your grandfather, but I've only got a 50 so far.
And I am looking forward to seeing Ozzy. (I had tickets to one of Black Sabbath's concerts once, but they canceled it due to riots by the concert goers after the concert. Cost me a lot of money for those tickets, $30 each!)
Oh, in case anyone wants to say hi, I'll be the old guy in the black t-shirt.
