Around Azeroth: Second star to the right
Time we got under way ourselves, gentleman. Once again, we've saved civilization as we know it.
Course heading, Capitan?
Second star to the right, and straight on till morning...
How could I resist another day of SciFi movie quotes? Especially with this picture the Skybreaker sent in by Sylvanan of Ner'zhul.
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, gold seller ads with deadgnomes any race at all, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran.

Beliam Aug 13th 2009 10:05AM
I swear to god that turbine looked like a giant turtle way in front of the ship in the thumbnail.
SKY TURTLE OFF THE PORT BOW
EVASIVE MANEUVERS
(insert obscure nautical jargon here)
Knyle2 Aug 13th 2009 10:39AM
I was thinking the same thing, but was afraid to mention it!
Fadmin Aug 13th 2009 11:27AM
like the 80's tune Star Trekin'
"Klingons off the starboard bow, starboard bow, starboard bow. Klingons off the starboard bow, get 'em off Jim"
Hopefully that'll haunt y'all like it will me the rest of today.

Is Peter Pan considered sci-fi?
Nathanyel Aug 13th 2009 11:01AM
I wondered that, too. It's rather fantasy or fairytale (well, that's fantasy for children)
Adam Holisky Aug 13th 2009 11:28AM
Quoting Star Trek, quoting classical lit.
Doug Aug 13th 2009 10:09AM
I know you though you were quoting Star Trek, but the quote actually comes from the original Peter Pan play. So you were really quoting classical literature!
rrrrarr Aug 13th 2009 10:30AM
This.
Adam Holisky Aug 13th 2009 11:29AM
I'm quoting Star Trek, which is quoting classical lit.
Pretty sure Peter Pan is never called Captain...
Aaron Aug 13th 2009 11:49AM
You typed "Capitan" which makes me smile when I say it out loud. Cappy tan! Cappy tan! Bad people stwaight ahead. x-D

The propellers move too slowly.
But you know you're in a RP groove when you feel a slight fear of nearing the ship when in flight form as a druid.
Booyaka Aug 13th 2009 10:09AM
Nevermind, the whole thing just clicked.
Hates Aug 13th 2009 11:01AM
This screeny brings me back to my Sega Dreamcast days......Skies of Arcadia FTW!!
Nathanyel Aug 13th 2009 11:07AM
Eh, nobody quotes Star Trek anymore, that's so 80s.
catharsis80 Aug 13th 2009 11:33AM
Too bad, too.
Elmo Aug 13th 2009 11:37AM
But then again, there's also loads of Michael Jackson on the radio these days.
atomicstrawberry Aug 13th 2009 1:08PM
Star Trek VI (origin of the quote) is from 1991.
catharsis80 Aug 13th 2009 11:33AM
Any reference to airships reminds me of Final Fantasy before Star Trek, but hey.
RogueJedi86 Aug 13th 2009 12:01PM
You should've quoted Firefly. "Still flying..." :)
