I now consider Achievements more important than gear. As the new expansion comes, all my EPICS will become so much vendor trash, but my Achievements will never lose their value.

I used to think that, but in 3.2 I logged in and had 40 points less than I had before patch maintenance. Achievements are entirely at the whim of Blizzard. Ask the people chasing the Violet Proto Drake...And yes, epics may BECOME useless -- but achievements were never actually worth anything in the first place!

If you feel that way, more power to you.Gear is nothing more than a set of tools. They improve your performance on a given task. Gear will be replaced, either in the next content patch, or the next xpac, regardless. But no matter how transient gear is, it still offers some in-game benefit.Achievements offer no benefit to game play.I guess it is what you value.
