While I love theorycrafting as much as the next guy, finding out which piece of gear is best for your character shouldn’t require advanced calculus. I believe this turns many players (such as myself) off to dpsing.
+Hit is one of the primary reasons I don’t go shadow on my priest. Everyone needs a healer and your gear sets are much easier to perfect (thoroughput, longevity, and haste) without having to worry about +hit nagging you. Even with itemization for holy and disc being somewhat different, I find it’s less hassle and I can make my gear go that much further.
I really feel for the melee dps folks who have not one, but three additional stats to worry about, that I don’t have to deal with.
