If you say "I'm leaving to go to a friends guild" or any variation thereof, your guild leader knows you are lying.

If you say emphatically "I'm not going anywhere, but ", your guild leader knows you are as good as gone.

If you say "I have to leave early" anytime after the raid starts and before the scheduled end time, your raid leader knows something better came up.

If you join a stated "raiding guild" you are forfeiting your right to some degree to be a solo player. You are now just a part of a larger entity. They rely on you, you rely on them. The gear you get isn't for your sole benefit, its for the benefit of the larger character that is your raid team. If you know you are going to leave a guild, and you still participate in raids, using their time and effort to get you gear that you have no intent of using to further the progression of the group, then ALL of your guildies know you are a person of poor character.

Its easy to go through life being THAT GUY, but to be a part of something bigger and better usually requires a level of sacrifice. Instead of bailing on people with some lame, selfish excuse, take the time to correct the behavior that is causing the problem. Most people don't play a video game to grief others, they just don't understand how to do certain things. If they are wiping in a dungeon, maybe you could instruct them on how NOT to wipe you. If they are undergeared, take 15 minutes out of your time and show them where the rep vendors are located and how they can gear up through them, or offer to craft them something in exchange for some future favor. It can be frustrating at times, but if you treat others poorly, it harms your reputation as well, and in life these kind of actions tend to catch up to you at some point.
