It takes a certain amount of being honest with yourself, but if you really just want to do some casual raiding, level your alts, and run some premades in the battlegrounds, you don't want to join a guild that focuses on hardcore progression raiding. I don't think anyone will be too upset about you saying "I don't think I'm willing to commit to as much raiding as this guild demands." if you do it right upfront.
