Boy I hope this isn't even close to the truth.

This.Personally I think Blizzard is just toying with us in some elaborate joke.

Let's hope so.Although SW:TOR/FFXIV should be out by then anyway

I almost wonder if the "leak" is to test the waters, to see what the fan reaction would be.

We will all know most of what blizzard is planning for the next expansion next week, and in a year we likely get what they put together. While this is all speculation until the final product is released. Blizzard is finally giving player what they have wanted for a while like being finally able to fly in the old world, and making the old world relevant again. Remaking the old world is the only way to make it happen, and thou some of the old world content is being totally redone, not all of it is, so don’t get upset about it.Personally what people have speculated about make perfect sense to me, a new races, new race-class combos, to explore a revised old world, while not making the two new races the only races you see while leveling. Redoing the old world content that has largely been ignored for years, and now with a mean to level in BG, probably wont be used at all. Even though it may not come true, so many have stated they wanted exactly what the new expansion is giving, and yet seem so disappointed with it

The only things being speculated about right now that I like are the involvement of Deathwing and Azshara. The storyline that was posted just seems horrible to me, and the supposed race class combos are the nails in the coffin. The hammer driving that home is Cairne being killed. I still have two months prepaid time on my two accounts, but I canceled billing earlier tonight. Champions Online is coming in two weeks, I'm already planning on ploaying that game a lot. And if this "news" about the expansion is true, I'm not renewing my accounts when they expire. No, no one can have my stuff, either. Just in case.

There are a few issues I have with reworking old world, even though I like it in concept.1) Leveling would need to be reworked to fit the new content perfectly, but high level players still want to have new experiences. This would be difficult to implement in such familiar territory.2) If entire zones change, then what happens to the old quests? I would expect entirely new quest lines to reproduce the missing experiences. This would also mean that people can miss out on important content because of an altered zone.-b) Some current achievements will be raped.3) What if someone doesn't buy Cataclysm? What happens to their Azeroth?-b) Subsequently, would not owning Cat cut the population in two, and render high level players unable to assist low level players? --c) If you still get new content without buying the expansion, why bother? However, if they essentially recreate the entirety of Azeroth (sans Northrend) and only let, for example, level 78+ characters go there, this would eliminate many of the problems, but leave two glaring ones.1) Not being able to access old world content. This could be solved by some kind of time traveling mechanism.2) The world may seem pretty damn empty. Old world is MASSIVE, on a MUCH larger scale than Outlands or Northrend. This could be solved by flooding the shit out of Azeroth, like they seem to be doing. Unfortunately, if they do, lots of stuff will be missing that would have been cool to see.In before 'LOL SPECULATION', because I don't care and it's fun to discuss. Not to mention that these things are likely points Blizz devs brought up and discussed as well.

Boubille doesn't just post random things, he was the one with Goblin Worgen as well. He said he would run around naked in Paris and film it i he was wrong - spoiler he was right :)Most likely extensive data mining, or a blizzard employee leaked info though obviously not all of it should be taken as gospel or anything.

Well i hope it is truth because maybe we can have a new background and get rid of the freakin dragon - wtb classic wow music

@Omega2k3Some thoughts on the points you raised.1) A think a candidate to solve several of the problems would be the new phasing that was used heavily in WotLK. http://www.wowwiki.com/Phasing. Although, at present the limitation is that the terrain needs to look identical in all phases - something they would have to fix if they are to tear Azeroth asunder. 2) Boosting in the old world. First thought would be that it wouldn't be a disaster if 80+ players could no longer boost players below 60, some sad pandas yes, but not a disaster. However maybe they could do it such that when you group, you phase with the lowest level character.3) "Old World is MASSIVE". It is big, although looks can be a bit deceiving as it would feel a lot smaller if you could fly, both getting perspective and increased speed. I *think* Northrend is roughly the same size as Eastern Kingdoms. So one possibility is that they only phase Kalimdor or a percentage of it, and mostly leave EK alone (perhaps for the 5th expansion :P ).

I hope that even some of it IS true.
