Cast of The Guild making an appearance at BlizzCon '09
Fans and followers of the popular web series The Guild, loosely based on World of Warcraft, should be excited to know that the show's cast will be making an appearance at BlizzCon this year! Blizzard Community Manager Nethaera confirmed the news with an announcement on the official forums.
Blizzard's forum post on the subject says that The Guild will have both its own booth and its own discussion panel at BlizzCon, where the cast (like geek goddess Felicia Day) will show off exclusive clips from the show's upcoming third season.
This is a great move by Blizzard, given that the show is clearly based off of WoW and the communities for each share quite an overlap. If you've never seen The Guild before, now would be a good time to catch up on what you're missing from this award-winning show at http://www.watchtheguild.com.
BlizzCon 2009 is coming up on August 21st and 22nd! We've got all the latest news and information. At BlizzCon you can play the latest games, meet your guildmates, and ask the developers your questions. Plus, there's some great looking costumes.Filed under: Fan stuff, News items, BlizzCon

have you ever seen the show? Funny, short and free.
Why are there so many people that just hate Everything?
oh and it is - Sarcasm.

the show is way to short and it would be smart for some one to jump on the chance to push them into more of a cable show or maybe a spinoff etc.

As much as I love Felicia Day in The Guild, she will always steal my heart as Penny in Dr Horrible. She is amazing in that :)

Of all the things worthy of a booth and/or panel...this is truely the least.

Very cool , however its amazing that its based on WoW because there isnt any other mmo's out there ya know.
I honestly get more of an EverQuest feel out of it , but chances are it is based on WoW so eh.

I dont mind the show, I've seen a few episodes and enjoyed them but, it could easily be about any MMO, I dont think it really needs a place at Blizzcon. When you consider all the fine machinima out there based on WoW and pair it up with The Guild... Well, it doesnt seem that deserving of a spot.

The good thing about a booth is that you can choose whether you want to visit or not.

Now I REALLY wish I were going. The Guild certainly deserves their own booth. Or two. Or....ok, we can stop with two.
It doesn't matter if the game in The Guild is based off WoW or not. The show is still about gamers. Which is what we are.

The guild is a blast and the cast is always very nice when meeting guest...especially Felicia; she is also mind bashingly intelligent...which is refreshing after listening to some Ditz from Jinx or Upper Deck
I would also advise anyone who is actually attending this year to keep their opinion to themselves, there has been several folks from Blizzard on lately saying that heckling and trolling guest of the con will buy you a one way ticket out on the streets of Anaheim this year, aparantly things got out of hand at the last Blizzcon
