Sunday Morning Funnies: Scared straight
This week's list has quite a few new listings, with one that I am particularly excited about. Without further ado:- Noobs has posted part two of Gold Issues.
- On Scout Report, we find out the word that is actually worse than "kittens." While the ensuing squabble become unintelligible, we do learn a bit about their mother.
- Cru: Holy Brown-Nosing.
- Dark Legacy Comics: Bill #307A. I know they come right out and say it, but I still think that ending is lame.
- Experience Points: Vincent has a nightmare.
- Vincent packs for BlizzCon. His costume plans are not going so well, however.
- LFG proves that you should stay in school to be awesome.
- NPC: Driving. I love his facial expression in that one. I've also never seen anyone this excited about doing Dailies.
- NPC: Sorry. Well I suppose it kind of was her fault.
- Check out the latest from Teh Gladiators.
- GU Comics: Given the Choice.
- GU Comics: My Frustration. Patches are a cruel mistress, my friend.
- NoObz: Profiling.
- The Adventures of Disgraph T. Dwarf: The Instance Portal Shuffle. Oh my!
- Check out the latest from Kuo.
- Beyond the Tree: All Going South.
- The Battlemasters: Into the Fray. This is the first entry from a new comic that I'm really loving. The artwork is awesome, and the coloring, especially on the bear in the second entry, The Oil Refinery, blows me away. Read below it to learn about the contest for a custom forum signature! To learn more about the duo behind it (including our very own Zach Yonzon!), check out their About page.
- I decided to link you to a rather NSFW selection of comics this week, ala Supermegatopia, By Way of Booty Bay. I don't think that they go in any particular order, but it's a good page to bookmark and visit when you have some time.
- Here's another comic, new to the list but certainly not particularly far in, Nitropie. I'll have more to say about it next week when I can figure out how to make my browser navigate it properly.

Yawn. Lame GU is lame, as always. Woody is like the personification of everything that's negative about the WoW community. For christ's sake his characters even -look- like generic frat boy douchebags.
Big props on Battlemasters, though. Gorgeous art--though I hope there are some females eventually. Nice to see a male BE not drawn all foppy, though. No new WoW, Eh? Fail!

Oh, there'll be females, alright... watch for it in a few weeks!

I'm sorry! T___T Other projects took up a big chunk of my time, but there will be a new one tonight/tomorrow! Promise!
Cadychan Aug 16th 2009 12:41PM
Also, @Zach - looking forward to seeing some babes in your comics! ;D

Ah yes, Booty Bay. Those comics are what actually got me back into playing a year or so back.

Booty Bay is no worse than Cru the Dwarf, really.
skreeran Aug 16th 2009 12:40PM
^This.
Cru regularly provides WoW Pr0nz on the side as a fan-service, and while I personally have no problem with it, it is definitely way more NSFW than Booty Bay.
By way of Booty Bay has some nipples in like 2 comics, and that's it, Cru has a new pin-up every week.

I read By Way of Booty Bay before starting my own comic and it inspired me to provide the T&A. Well, partially inspired, the other came from Twisted Kaiju Theater :3

can some please give me the link for an NSFW comic about a green woman, i had seen its ad on Cru the dwarf's website once and never got it again, and i also forgot the comic's name :(
Cru Aug 16th 2009 5:16PM
I know which one you're talking about but I can't remember the name either X_X

I read the comics at Booty Bay a while back and it doesn't seem like there is anything new. Hard to tell though because the items are in order alphabetically by title rather than chronologically by release, not that it matters for reading since it is non-storyline. Funny jokes and nice original artwork, like them, would like more, would like an RSS feed also.
Cru Aug 16th 2009 5:16PM
I'd like it if they were in ordered from oldest -> latest. Or latest -> oldest, either way.

If you read DLC's forums, this is (appearently) not the actual ending.
Quote Keydar:
Also, yes, the fact that Miji is in the final panel with his tail copter shows Keydar was mistaken in thinking it was all a dream. It's meant to be slightly ironic that in pointing out the Deus Ex Machina ending, Miji refutes it.
