WoW Moviewatch: Warcraft Final Fantasy Style 7

Thanks to Quixotica for tipping us off to this video. Warcraft Final Fantasy Style 7 by Sefearion is an interesting and complex blend of animation styles. Some of it is machinima, certainly. In many other locations, however, Sefearion took obvious pains to create the animation from scratch.
I found the story a little confusing, since I am picking up the series late in its development. However, the basic idea is that we're now following the adventures of the Orc Warrior Orson. That much was fairly easy to grasp. Sefearion has done so many interesting things with his graphics, I'll admit the story almost could have been "Orc think Dragon pretty!" and I would have watched.
I'd encourage Sefearion to continue the series, but maybe grab an editor to help give it a little more narrative focus. But that's pretty shallow criticism, when you consider the obvious skills Sefearion is displaying here. Overall, it's a great job.

That last fight song is a Shadow of the Colossus ReMix from OC ReMix. It's in the YouTube description.
I thought that was pretty interesting, 'cause I use that same song in my PvP playlist with the Soundtrack Add-on, and I didn't even notice that it was kind of out of place (I thought it was just another Final Fantasy fight song, because that's what the rest of my playlist is).
Either way, this is an interesting idea, though I think it fails a bit at what it's really going for. Namely the menus and menu navigation REALLY through me off.
Cool idea, though.

The animations were pretty damn good. But the voices...the voices! None of the voices matched the characters appearance, save for Orson. If he can find some better voice acting then the show would be great. But for now, it's just ok.

If you've played a final fantasy this is a pretty good recreation, it's so bad it's good.

Oh god I got 1 minute into that, that is by far one of the most terrible machinima I have seen in a good while the voice acting is terrible voice editing suites are there to be subtle not bloody blatent and after going through halfway to see if it got better it got worse plus the whole blatently copy insert here style does not work no more
I still don't get why final fantasy style was even added hmm yeah they ask dumb questions and things in that game but they are not retarded
Did he say run for it, please I think square right better dialogue
call me harsh I know what good and bad as I do movie making and editing for a carreer and this was certainly bad lol

Your a idiot tbh, and the voices are all done by one person. and i think a friends voice now and again, if you don't like it just don't reply to it. the guy is amazing, he does these for himself.... and posts them on youtube and not for a bunch of dumb non talent people to slag off

The only reason any movie or game has bad voice acting is because the people making said movies or games chooses bad voice actors.
And to those saying bad voice acting is indicative of the Final Fantasy name...there's only been 3 games with voice acting in it. So saying FF = Bad voice acting is a bit off.

I think them saying final fantasy style is an absolute detroment to the ff series whch btw ff10 may I add was fantastically voiced and made it truelly immersive to be honest a far better style than the over gruff tripe in WOW nowadays the only one who actually sounds right are Thrall and Cairne Bloodhoof
Arthas sounds like an emo
sylvanus sounds ok but sounds too human with a reverb kicked in
Jaina sounds and looks like bloody barbie, er latest model looks terrible whats with the blonde hair
Alliance and gnomes where to start ;(
dwarfs sound ok though but get old after a while I kinda like troll voices though

The only Final Fantasy game I've played was X. A bit of the super old ones too though. Therefore, this wasn't as entertaining as it could've been, but the animations were great. :)

1 What I stated is an opinion this is something called a community where people are allowed positive and negative
