They accidentally posted the Blizzcon 2008 schedule this morning. That's what that was. So they didn't "change" the schedule today, they just posted the correct one.

Uh... not true? There's the Live Broadcast, A few DIII Panels, and The Guild panel, all of which weren't there last year (at least I think their were).

Yes, D3 was at Blizzcon last year (the big announcement was the mage class). Yes, The Guild had a panel last year (and if people recall, there was minor distress for some WoW fans about having to choose between going to that or a WoW panel). Yes, they had live coverage of the event last year, on DirectTV, not internet.
