Last time I did it, vapors can be death gripped. They don't get taunted however, so will quickly wander away back to the corner of the room where you didn't want them.

I'm not entirely sure about lifebloom. I recall a druid in our last kill talking about it, so it may still restore mana. Some people talked about standing in the puddles and casting lifebloom for free lifeblooms, therefore being able to get free mana, but the overall mana gained is so little it's not really considered worth it.
