i get both sides of the argument. the issue really comes into focus with everyone running heroics again but not needing any of the drops. i've ran several PUGs and it's way easier to just have everyone greed everything (not to mention the fact that you can get achievements for rolling 100). i don't think it's an issue of people not knowing what to do....i think it's more an issue of most people don't want to spend all that time deciding who gets what loot and is it fair....etc.
