They should make a deck like
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Most-wanted_Iraqi_playing_cards
and put it in the goody bag. Make Arthus the ace of spades.

When I see GC I will demand my PONY!!!
Robert M Aug 20th 2009 1:25PM
At least this year you won't have to demand a gender verification. Wasn't it about this time last year, a certain source was telling us GC was female?
Yeng Aug 20th 2009 1:31PM
GC is female, AFTER THE CATACLYSM!
Snailking Aug 20th 2009 1:34PM
Aren't they adding a Tauren named Aponi?

"Author of several World of Warcraft books amongst other fantasy novels. Confirmed to be attending BlizzCon 2008."
Will he be using time-travel to achieve this?
BadBart Aug 20th 2009 1:20PM
He knows about time travel.
The Well of Eternity (WarCraft: War of the Ancients, Book 1)
from http://weread.com/book/0743471199/The+Well+of+Eternity/BOK-13980427-1
Many months have passed since the cataclysmic Battle of Mount Hyjal, where the demonic Burning Legion was banished from Azeroth forever. But now, a mysterious energy rift within the mountains of Kalimdor propels three former warriors into the distant past -- a time long before orcs, humans or even high elves roamed the land. Blizzcon 2008! A time when the Dark Titan Sargeras, and his demon pawns persuaded Queen Azshara and her Highborne to cleanse Azeroth of its lesser races. A time when the Dragon Aspects were at the height of their power -- unaware that one of their own would soon usher in an age of darkness that would engulf the world of...War Craft®.
In the first chapter of this epic trilogy, the outcome of the historic War of the Ancients is forever altered by the arrival of three time-lost heroes: Krasus, the dragon mage whose great power and memories of the ancient conflict have inexplicably diminished; the human wizard Rhonin, whose thoughts are divided between his family and the seductive source of his now-growing power; and Broxigar, a weathered orc veteran who seeks a glorious death in combat. But unless these unlikely allies can convince the demigod, Cenarius, and the untrusting night elves of their queen's treachery, the burning Legion's gateway into Azeroth will open anew. And this time -- the struggles of the past may well spill over into the future..

Samwise Didier has both an excellent name and an excellent neck beard.

If you see that Activision suit there, punch him in his gash.

His facial hair is bested only by Samwise's.
Although i was slightly (alright, majorly) disappointed to discover he doesn't actually have a mohawk.

I hope Kotick gets booed off of the stage if he tries to come in and ruin the fun of Blizzcon by going "HAY GUIZ BLIZZ HAS BEEN GIVIN ACTIVISHUN LOTS OF $$$ U GAIZ R GUD AT GIVIN US TEH $$$"
Dreadskull Aug 20th 2009 1:27PM
Also, someone needs to make a picture of a dead Rhonin and show it to Knaak.
Petrified penguin Aug 20th 2009 1:32PM
Translation: Salutations, friends I'm here to inform you that Blizzard has been giving Activision lots of assets and you my valued customers are very trusted by us here at Activision for giving us the money to improve our projects. Thank you and have a good day.

@Dreadskull
This is what I find Hilarious about the Rhonin hate...it is all internet tough talk....I have attended every single Blizzcon and many Gencons where Knaak is present and all I see are people gushing to him over how much they love his books. No one is screening these people and i would imagine that if this guy actually has hundreds of thousands of Rhonin is a Mary sue booster at least a couple of them would show up at these events to tell him how much they think he sucks....course it could be a case of them being spineless...

Alex "Foror" Afrasiabi was also known as "Furor"; GM of the Everquest guild Fires of Heaven. Arguably the most famous guild and GM in Everquest. His rants were legendary. Yes, I've dated myself... ;-)

Just don't look any of them in the eyes... Never, ever look them in the eyes!

While I can't really advocate any kind of gash-punching, this is a convention to revel in the stories that Blizzard tells. It's about the plots and the characters, and maybe in some small way about the gameplay mechanics and server issues. What it's not about is the finances that are a part of any successful business. So, if there is an Activision guy there to congratulate Blizzard on their positive financial outlook, you don't need to boo him. You don't need to get violent. Just kindly ignore the guy and walk away.
