BlizzCon 2009: Worgen animation

Our own Mike Schramm brings you video of the process Worgen players will undergo when they transform, fresh from the BlizzCon floor. Enjoy your piping hot man to beast-man transformation! I know I'm going to be keeping my Worgen in his bestial form as much as possible, myself, but it's still cool to watch.
Update by Mike Schramm: Since we took this video at the Art Panel, I've played the Worgen on the floor, and this animation is now fully implemented in the demos here. Going into combat as a Worgen does a quicker animation that sends you into Wolf form (yes, you must be in Wolf form during combat, and it's purely cosmetic). But hitting the transformation ability while a human will give you this animation -- it looks great.

I vowed I would never play a worgen, because of all the kiddies that race would attract. That vow is quickly crumbling...

Whose going to want to play human when you can be one of these guys now?
Good thing for the whole Azeroth revamp, so I don't mind rerolling.
Hopefully they'll do something to keep humans appealing as well, though.

People who want an extra trinket slot in PvP, or to see rogues 0.2 seconds sooner before they get stun-locked, or to spend 10% less time grinding rep.

They might, but personally I never found humans very interesting. The only reason I have one is because I want to be an alliance warlock without having to be 4 feet tall >.>

You CAN go back and forth.
It's a racial talent.
You're in worgen form in combat, out of combat you can choose between worgen or human form.

The Worgen form sort of crumbles away into cloud and dust and falls down around the human form. Not quite that precise, but that's the idea. It's got a similar vibe to the DK's Icey Touch animation.

Good, now I know I want to play a goblin AND a worgen.
Still, my ties to the Horde could fade completely if we really get Garrosh as leader.

I'm kind of shocked at how many Horde -- even diehard Horde -- players I'm running into who want nothing more to do with the Horde if Garrosh takes the reins.
Actually, not that shocked. Pretty seriously considering rerolling if that's the case myself. :(

I'm not that shocked that Horde players would re-roll. Thrall is such a big part of the Horde, he took them to success. I'm an Alliance player, but I've always considered leveling my little Tauren druid some because Thrall makes me respect the Horde. But it Garrosh takes over... No thanks.

@Allison: I'm feeling that way myself, and I'm as diehard as they come (nothing so zealous as the converted). I always wanted to be Horde and was forced to be Alliance to play with my then-BF, and I swore nothing would ever make me go back to the blue side.
Garrosh taking the reins would do it. :(
