I have a problem with the 'reward the leader' idea. Beyond the fact it will generate an awful lot of drama with who get's to lead the run for the reward, there's an idea of defining who a leader is in a 5-man.Most of the time, the person in the leader spot of a pug ends up being pretty arbitrary. Sometimes it's just the guy who got the group together. Other times, leadership gets passed around to help invite new people and never really gets transferred back to the original leader. Usually, the lead spot will end up in the hands of the tank so that he can mark what target he wants killed first (assuming anyone bothers to mark anything at all.) And in the end, it may end up that the 'leader' of the group isn't even really leading things. A more experienced player not marked as leader may end up nursing the group through a dungeon, especially if it's new to the other players. Honestly, nobody really 'leads' a five-man pug, certainly not in the same way one might lead a raid. It's a collective effort more often than not.I think adding the leadership rewards will cause problems. If they really want to add extra rewards to instances, then make them based on how effective your group worked together. How about more timed events akin to the one in Heroic CoS that can offer extra or special loot. Or perhaps reward groups for having few or no player deaths (Nothing says "Move out of the damn fire" like a shot at an extra piece of loot.) That would better reward skilled (or lucky) players and be far more fair than rewarding the arbitrarily named group leader. Also, it would head off a lot of unnecessary drama.

I think this is a great idea. Reward people for being skilled!!! No Deaths, get better loot. Run the instance extremely quickly and efficiently, get better loot. Don't reward someone just cause they put a skull on the guy they wanna pound on first. This will generally only benefit the tanks and they are only usually leader for convenience sake, not because they actually lead. Everyone knows their jobs in 5 mans, and even when they don't, it isn't always the tanks giving directions, so don't arbitrarily send all the rewards to them. Everyone else deserves a chance at this stuff too and using this idea of dropping slightly better or extra loot based on how well the ENTIRE group does in the instance is a magnificent idea
